Tried the Micro Coil thingy earlier and the outcome was minimal with taste and vapor compared to normal coiling, for the aggro i will stick to normal coiling

I am soooo bored of the whole re-building thing. I get my atty heads for £1.20 each (Kanger) and just do my own in emergency. This x 100 Given you can get 5 heads for £6 life is just too short for the endless frustration that is recoiling. Yes I'm aware this is linked to be being fairly practically inept at such things but it isn't easy and for the cost saving is it really worth the effort?

dreamylittledream - for what it's worth, yes!! I love the business of recoiling and there's nothing more satisfying than vaping a homemade juice using a recoiled head - heaven! But for those of you who don't want the faff of recoiling, there are plenty of cheap alternatives which will keep you vaping and happy

The vape on this 1 ohm coil feels so much better because I MADE IT. There's that feeling of accomplishment and pride in the fact that you are vaping on something you built. It might just be me but that's the way I feel about my coil.

I just like the fact I can get 25metres of kanthal for a few pounds and a load of silica and have enough for months - less postie stalking which has to be a good thing. You can do it jordan...don't let the gremlins bite ya!!!

Less than £1 for enough to last me a loooooooooooooooooong time, easier to thread than silica and the flavour is amazing. Yes it drinks more juice but making my own liquid saves enough money to warrant using more on a cotton wick

Oh dear jordan, using your own coils and vaping homemade juice - I'm sorry to say that I think you are officially now a lost cause!! It's a great feeling, that's for sure - and your coils will improve over time, along with your mixing skills. Apart from the odd treat, I hardly spend anything on my vaping each month; of course there's the mixing ingredients and to odd bit of wick or wire, but I would say my weekly expenditure is sub-£5.

Same here andy, in fact we had 4 weeks where we did not spend a penny massive order in at 28vapeslater and wick and wire but that should be enough for another few weeks at least.

Brilliant news jordan....I have never tried cotton wick so you're braver than me but your coils will get better over time Every blessing It's quite easy to do. You just need to make sure you dont dry burn it so you test the coil before putting the wick in. Also means that when your coil gets a bit gunked up you can take the wick out, dry burn off the gunk and just thread some fresh cotton through =)

I made my first micro coil today, 0.3 kanthal 10 wraps with cotton. It came out a bit high for me 2.2 I prefer to vape at around about 1.5
The joy's of making your own coils is that you learn as you go along. The next micro coil I make I think I'll take off 2 wraps and see what ohm's I get. For a few quid for the material's you can't beat it.
