hi i bought my first e-cig last wednesday so it is exactly a week without a cigarette, this is the starter kit i brought, Echo V Variable voltage (650Mah) battery, with Ce4 8 wick clearomiser
Working voltages. 3v. 3.5v. 4v .
Simply press the button quickly 5 times to turn on the e cigarette and then change between voltagesr.
I am getting on really well with it and like it but since last night it seems to be using more juice than it has been previously, when i fill it i always wipe it with a cotton bud and have noticed there has been a bit of juice in the bit where u unscrew it, also my friend brought the ego ce4 and she seems to ge lot more vapour than i do from mine. one thing i do know is i will be buying another i had a nightmare the other night that this one broke, thnx Sam x

Welcome and congratulations to you Sam. What voltage are you using it at as the higher you go, then the more liquid you'll vaporize. Your friend may also have an eliquid with a higher Vegetable Glycerine content, which will give her more vapour. Her vaping technique may also be slightly different to yours which can also make a difference. A little juice on the contact is nothing to worry about, providing it's not flooding. It's good practise though to get into the habit of regularly cleaning battery contacts gently, with a little kitchen towel.

Hi & samyd1981 & well done on stopping smoking, as perpetua says above a little juice is nothing, has the dial on the battery been turned up too high? to use a variable voltage battery it needs to be set to lowest setting to start off & move it 1 setting at a time until it tastes its best for you & different juices need different settings. When you fill up again try holding the clearo over a tissue & blow from the drip tip then dry the base before you screw it back together. It may be worthwhile you reading through this to understand the basics more allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/28309/pics-vids-get-started-abbreviations?page=1&scrollTo=513761

samyd1981the sore tongue, dry throat etc are all by products of the PG used in E Juice... Increase your fluid intake and bear with it as they will fade with time. As for being able to run again, it will happen just let your lungs get shut of all the accumulated gunk from those nasty cig years.. You will be victorious

As much as I agree on the MVP, that will wait until you get frustrated with the battery or it eventually gives out. What will probably happen sooner is that your clearo will come to the end of its life (about a month). Since it sounds like you didn't get a CE4+ with a replaceable coil - and, as you notice, they leak a little - can I suggest that you already put on order an iTaste 16 and some replacement heads from FastTech; they're dirt-cheap, they should arrive in time, and they don't leak like clone CE4/5s. (And when you see how much better they are you'll be that much closer to fancying an MVP!)

barrynortonThe only problem with iTaste 16, is if samyd1981 was worrying about juice usage on a a CE4, imagine the horror when they see the juice level drop with a DC clearo..LOL

Oh, I have to admit this is true. I cut down quickly one the nicotine level when I saw how much the dual coil burns through, even on a non-VV eGo battery. It's awesome though, a good fizz and pop with every draw.

Hello & welcome to the forum, samyd1981. Sounds like you've made a good start, although, you could definitely do with some backups, as you found out after your first problems. Get yourself at least one other battery, two would be better several clearos & another charger, so you can continue happily. Also as was mentioned above, it does have a dehydrating effect, so up your fluid intake & you'll be fine.
