Oi Modders,I am new-ish to this. Was going to post this in general section but thought I would ask here first.I thought maybe yous fellow Tech persons might have a scrap batt you could sell me?..I am techy....generators..TVs,laptops,toasters...etc...I fix all. A disaster!! I dropped my Ego C twist 1100mah and the "click " dissappeared from my button.It hit a concrete floor from my breast pocket and landed flat [freakishly perfectly] on the button with a T3 full of LF Strawberry Milkshake  I think i have punctured the membrane in the switch.. The slightest touch will operate it but it is not useable.Ive only had it a couple of weeks and i love it...it is my path to a vamo or something like that..The switch needs replaced.I am well versed in SMD soldering and rework.I have searched high and low,cant find a seller Anyway.....I have attached a pic.Does anyone know where I can get a switch like this? |

You're welcome to this board. The tactile switch is 4.2 x 3.2 x 2.5mm, looks the same. Output FET is popped but the switch works fine. Pm me your addy if you want me to shove it in the post.  |

Search eBay UK for 'Tactile Switch' and you will find thousands for £1.50 or less.
Check the dimensions and you are good to go.
I haven't found any quite as cheaply made as the eGo tactile but there are many direct replacements.

I didn't find any with the same footprint/height in SMD, not a common industry part.

Do you mean to say the switches in the ego C twist battery are of inferior quality? I suppose that would explain its quick failure,even with being dropped. BTW,what has happened to ChrisVapes..has he been deleted or something...was he naughty to the admins...?  |
