Just giving this a gentle bump folks. It's now up to 332 votes & has obviously come to attention of the powers that be since the last comment on it was from a commissioner bod John R (check out the Blue EU flag on his avatar) spouting the same tried tripe.

The Commission is not against the use of e-cigarettes for cessation. But safety and quality needs to be ensured – particularly given the increasing use of e-cigarettes by young people and non-smokers. The application of pharma legislation – which contains authorisation procedures which are not too burdensome for SMEs, and which allows countries to make their own decisions about where products may be sold – could address this.

I think there are several comments 'queued' for moderation in reply, time will tell if they get posted or whether we get bounced as lobbyists

Not all the queued comments have been posted! I didn't really say anything more controversial than that I have now, for the first time in over forty years, stopped being a smoker and really don't want to be forced back into it - I'm an addict, I know I can't give up nicotine, the approved methods haven't worked, vaping seems to have done the trick. Why are they blocking comments?

The comments that showed up were posted last night I think. Maybe they only do a few at a time. I am not sure how they are moderating the comments there. But those from yesterday just suddenly showed up all at once late afternoon.

its odd, but maybe its manually moderated and the moderator has limited time and is doing a few at a time.

I hope it shows up later tomorrow or something.

I posted about 7.30 last night to say I'd voted so that would be after I tried to post a comment; maybe they don't want too many pro comments!  I also followed your suggestion to 'like' the comments already posted - the first one I tried reverted to 0 - I just got out quick!

It reverted to 0 when I 'liked' a comment too loobiebloo if you close and go back in your 'like' is there and counted. Probably to stop you liking more than once?

I think this may have taken them by surprise, don't think they'er used to receiving so much input on one of these so it may well be some poor backroom clerk who has the job of moderating.

I started to post my comment around lunch time today, but by the time I'd got it down to 700 of their characters & re-written it cos I kept losing it, think it was mid afternoon by the time it was accepted, worst comments section I've ever used . . . there may still be hope for yours loobiebloo if not just post again, & yes I thought I'd bojaxed it when I liked the comments & the counter turned to zero

Just tried to comment on another post very similar to mine - same result. Comment has been queued for moderation!!!
