This website hosts chats about various issues, this morning Tonio Borg was chatting there and part of the agenda was the TPD, so I think it is a valid place to express our feelings. He did not get round to talking about TPD in the chat, so i submitted this instead, would be good to get some votes, so that whoever sees it knows it is important to as many people as poss.

"The proposed tobacco products directive contains legislation that would classify all nicotine containing products as medicines"

No it doesn't. It doesn't classify tobacco itself as a medicine!

[And to be really picky, it doesn't 'contain legislation', it contains a proposal for a directive which would prompt legislation - people often fail to understand that the EU do not create legislation]
