mixing a menthol concentrate

Bought some VG liquid from my chemists this morning, thinned it down 10% with some vodka added a few crushed menthol crystals and hey presto my first DIY juice

Now, thing is the crystal are crushed, so measuring how much i am using is awkward. So i have come to the conclusion that making a concentrate with the whole 5 grams of crystal, maybe mixed with some vodka again

now my question is, roughly how much will 5 g of menthol, crystals take me? 100ml? 200ml? more?

I suppose it would really depend on your personal taste..........if it's just menthol or if your using it as a mixer with other concentrates...
Just be carefull menthol will overpower some of the more delicate flavours, it's also a SOB to get rid of the taste from Attys.

I mix the whole 5g crushed menthol crystals in 30ml of warm PG (sat in a cup of warm water) in a 50ml bottle, shaking as I add each little bit.
I add using a piece of paper rolled into a small funnel.
This gives me a strong concentrate and I only need to add 1 drop at a time to reach the taste I want, currently I am vaping my Raspberry menthol as I have the cold

5% Inawera Raspberry mix and 5 drops of menthol per 10ml bottle, tastes like raspberry tunes

snout71 when i do the menthol i usually crush half the pot of crystals with a pestle & mortar put it in a small glass bottle then double with PG & microwave for 8 seconds, shake & add same amount of nic base this usually makes approx 25ml in total, so the full 5g pot would probably make 50ml depending how strong you like it.
For my cherry menthol mix whatever size bottle you are using fill two thirds with cherry juice & one third menthol, this way you get both flavours without the menthol overpowering the other flavour, these amounts would go for most fruity menthol flavours but its all down to personal taste.

50ml. Is that concentrate or juice?

You'll need to be careful using Menthol Crystals in a VG heavy mix Snout as they can reform . . . it's better to make a concentrate as Di has suggested in PG.

would a 50/50 mix be too much VG?

I posted a reply last night but don't know whats happened to it if you only want the menthol as a concentrate just put the same amount of PG in as i have mentioned for nic base, but remember whatever you use the menthol in will then weaken nic content, however menthol gives a throat hit on its own so may not be noticable.

Possibly, but not necessarily . . . it depends how strong you make the Menthol concentrate as to how saturated the crystals become. Safer with 70/30.
