I dont think the fella was interested in the LG Perpy,as he never e-mailed me in the end. Oh well,i am more than happy to keep it if no ones interested.I think that if no one wants it i will just buy an 18500 battery and charger and then i can have all day vapeing off each battery.

Did he not Ian - perhaps he thought we were working in cohorts or something - are you reg'd on UKV?
It might be an idea if you posted it there for sale yourself, I had several enquiries so I think you'd be in with a chance.

The chap at the post office advised me to send the passthrough recorded delivery. Sometimes my postie will remove the Recorded number-sticker and pop the package in my box - do you think you can pack it flattish to fit thru a decent-sized letterbox, Ian? The Recorded cost is no problem. I just dread them leaving me a "Sorry you were out" card. If I'm a nuisance you can see if you can find a less awkward customer And if you can't, I'll still be here. scylla

Lilac-i dont really understand differences in postage services.I send all my ebay stuff recorded so its less hassle for me with people saying the item did not arrive etc.I am just going on what the post master told me today, which left me a bit confused. He said recorded would be the best way for the passthrough coz of value/weight of goods??????He said that it cuts out hassle in event of a claim and some other mumbo jumbo.

Scylla.I can certainly pack it flat for you,no problem at all.I just wish i could do it the way you wanted. Now this muppet of a post master has really confused my very basic knowledge of the postal services and differences between services.??What a day.Ive got it in a jiffy now,and it looks as if it would fit through a decent sized letter box.I think i might go to another post office tomorrow to check all this out.The bloke did seem very unhelpful and a bit of a know it all.

Ian, providing you get a certificate of postage ( COP) you'll be covered in the advent of any loss up to £39.00. RM are a business, and as such try to 'sell' you the most expensive way of sending something. My main PO which I seldom use, prefering to use a sub - trys to sell me SD for items under a fiver.

I'd just say you're very happy with RM's excellent 1st Class Postage service and could I have a COP please.

I'd say he was correct in telling you it's the best way of sending, when you're selling on ebay, etc, in case they try to pull a fly one... or if the person is gonna be available to easily sign for it... but Scylla has to go down a flight of stairs outside her flat, i believe, and sometimes has missed the postie knocking, so might be better to just sent with a COP, then if it goes missing, you can still claim from RM

but Scylla has to go down a flight of stairs outside her flat, Not quite, Lilac - it's four flights, outside my flat but inside the buidling - but that's if I hear the buzzer I didn't realise I was going to worry Ian so much, it's not fair to him. It's just that the package is so unlikely to go missing, and if it did then Ian would be able to claim off RM with a CoP just as well as with a Rec Del cert. Go ahead and send it Recorded, Ian - PM me the payment details and I'll PM you my addy in return. Thank you very much for all the trouble you've gone to scylla x
