vamo'o'clock!

Was just about to go for the v2 and saw a v3 for a few dollars more. I prefer the look of the v2 but does the later model have any internal upgrades?

Sory pal not sure I know what you mean about the top cap? Is this anything to do with using it in single battery mode? I don't think I would ever use one in twin battery - must be huge!

Id agree with everything on stated on the v4 and v5 but would add; you mentioned that its a tight budget(I know the feeling) and if your not too concerned about being up to date etc then the v2 remains a viable option as it more than does the job.

Sorry have nt read right through so its probably been mentioned but the fasttech mvp at aroundof 28 notes could be the way to go link here

Downside is its a few weeks for delivery (mines is on its way after ages of procrastinating

Rosco means the outer ring of on the atomiser screw in part of the vamo unwinds (if you look closely at the picture in the link you can see a photo of the top cap removed showing thread only on the vamo

Cheers rich. The design is the same crin766 on all of the vamos it is just the inside that has changed. So you get the mod which uses 18650 batteries and then you can unscrew a tube and put the bottom cap back on and use it in short mode with 18350 batteries. All in a tube style. As said the v2 os great bit of kit and will serve you well. It is a workhorse.

I agree. Any tank looks good on a vamo imo. Re buildables i am not into as of yet so cant really give you any ideas.

It's not just the outer ring. The whole top cap comes off, which is a life-saver if you strip the threads by which your atty attaches.

Here are the replacements:

This is why I'm still undecided between the nicer-looking v2, or the possibly longer-lived but ugly v3.

I wish FastTech would get one of the newer versions that have gone back to the v2-style body but (I think??) retained the replaceable top cap.

The v2 cap is a press fit and a fairly easy job replacing the head(I put the head barry linked to on my v2 a couple of weeks back.

So yes easier with the new model but no real biggie removing the press fit on the v2(plus saves money if the budget is tight)

As an aside...why they dont just sort out the threading on the vamo i dont know

because people wouldn't buy more....at £9 delivered for a new top-cap compared to £19 for a spanky new one, it's a close call (especially if being dropped often was why the threads went dodgy in the first place...)
