Dam pro tank heads, need some more advice please.

Thanks for all your helps peeps. Took the flavour wicks out before i left home on one of the heads and seems to be working a treat. No flooding and no gurgling. This is with 2mm in there. Tempted to leave it lile this for the day and see how it goes and come back to the others later.

I have one with 3mm in it so will take the flavour wick off on that one and see how it compares to the 2mm.

I use 3mm silica and .18 kanthal which so far always seems to work for me. I tend to recoil in bulk, last night I did about 20 heads which should last a few weeks. I use 4 wraps which comes in about 2.2 ohms.

I used to use 3mm silica with a 1mm flavour wick and never had any problems with wicking or flooding

I use 2mm silica with 5 wraps of .2 wire wrapped tight using a paper clip splint, three or four threads of silica on top and don't twist the legs. Same as you we use 60/40 and I can honestly say I've never ever had a problem and must have recoiled hundreds of heads cos we change them after 2-3 days whether they're gunked or not. Have you ever considered trying back to basics Ros?

Seems like the flavour wicks are the issue, both my 2mm wicked one and 3mm wicked one are working a treat now.

I always use 2 mm eko and .2 kanthal and works everytime im not an impatient SoB and do it properly.

However i have some 2 mm silica and just to use it up i wicked with 2 mm silica and usual kanthal,but i put 2 strips of the 2 mm silica on top as flavour wicks and unfortunately its worked out really well (unfortunately because the straightforward 2 mm eko and .2 kanthal was perfect for me and now i have a dilemma of what to do now .

So many different right ways of doing it , its whatever works best for you Rosco

Too much wick = suffocation and the wick won't wick
Too little wick = too much juice getting in and the wick can't handle anymore

Getting the balance is the key but this also depends on juice ratio being used.

The "head" God has spoken (lol) I think it's fair to say Super-Shiny probably has the most experience, I know he is more exact than me, taking juice ratios into account and all that.I just tend grab the wick and wire, wrap it, test it and vape it :-)

I did think that but thought it too good an opportunity to miss, what about PHE (protank head expert) I think you would pronounce it "fee"

Don't think he will like being called a head expert double entendrau and all that
