Dam pro tank heads, need some more advice please.

Morning all, so conclusions on the pro tank heads. When using silica these things seem to vary an awful lot depending on the juice and even what device i use. My findings are that both 2mm and 3mm wick are fine to use in these and with one piece of 1mm wick on the top seems to cover all of my bases. Although this has been a bit of a pain in the ass over the weekend i love the idea that i now have finely tuned heads that fit my vaping style.

Next up is the ekowool. Bring it on.

I've just done a couple with .5 and 2mm eko and no flavour wick @ 1.3Ohms. Once I get past the eau de dunlop taste I'll let you know how it is. Initially impressed with the extra hit

Can't be good for us all this burning rubber. I even doubled up and twisted the legs but it made no difference. Is there not a better alternative to the rubber insert?

You ride a bike that looks like this and your concerned about a little rubber taste??

In all honesty I think there must be a silicone gasket out there somewhere, I just wish the manufactuers of heads could find them.

I don't ever get the taste of burning with my Evod heads crin766, factory made or otherwise and I use VG heavy eliquid.

What wattage/voltage are you using, I always start pretty low with a new head and then work up. After leaving the head for 10 minutes to absorb my eliquid, again when it's new.

Until my vamo rocks up im stuck with my riva 650's so whatever their chucking out after 12months of abuse. I think it's because I've gone for such a low resistance, causung more heat. I'll go higher next time

Res and non res wire would stop it.

Thanks Roscopecotrain I thought at 1 point it would be the blind leading the blind! That would have been interesting! Glad you got it sorted now and I'm looking forward to my lesson

Res and non res wire would stop it.

weld the two together. Non resist goes through the bung, no heat generated..bit of a faff for me.( I'm just a lazy bugger)

You can buy them pre made mate in a bundle of 50 - www.stealthvape.co.uk/rebuildable-supplies/pre-made-joined-resistance-no-resistance-wires

Basically you wrap the res part around the wick and then the non res part is the legs = no burnt rubber

Although you could buy a zapper and some wire and make them yourself. Super-Shiny makes his own. Not sure if he would be able to make some up?

2mm eko - 6 or 7 coils of .25 and no wick
