First recoil

So, I recoiled my first evod/protank heads today.  Just did the 2.

2mm silica, doubled over
0.2 Kanthal A1

4 wraps gave 2.0 Ohms
5 wraps gave 2.5 Ohms

Need some practice to get neater, but vaping away, and I can really taste the difference.  LOVE these.

Only needed a couple heads as I'm preparing for a week away to Norway again.  Gonna actually try taking my ecigs with me this time.  Will also buy 200 cigs just in case though.  Can always sell them when I get back if I don't need them.

Well done mate, and dreamy buty the wick and wire and do it your self, ok the first one may take you 10 mins and waste a bit of wick and wire, but after that it's all gravy

Hehe I've got the wick and wire - and I've made enough half arsed burned tasting things to realise that this maybe isn't my forte.  I need remedial coiling classes I think.

No problem mate get yourself to a meet somewhere and someone will give you a tutorial, it really isn't that hard to do, try doing a genny lol first time now that will give you a few problems

I probably spent about a fiver on wasted wick and wire before my first Nova heads worked at the right ohm rating, but once I realised what I had to do, then I was away.
I've just whipped out the supplied head on my Focalecig Mini Protanks, and stuck a new coil in in about 5 minutes. Makes a huge difference, and has saved me about £2. Might not seem a lot, but multiply that by one new head per week, and in a month with two tanks I've saved myself £16 for an outlay of a fiver. Expand that over a year, and it works out to be over £100 - well worth doing. That's my first mech mod in the bag then

Yup chykensa I've used nova's for over a year and protank's for a couple of months and never bought a replacement head, cos , well why would you?

Hehe I live in the wilds of Norfolk I'm afraid so vape meets seem a bit limited

Yeah I was surprised. First one worked well, straight away too. So happy bunny.

Now in Norway. Offshore tomorrow, so see if I can smuggle the ecigs offshore. Hopefully so. We'll see though.
