well I was at a loose end this afternoon, and after reading all the posts on recoiling, I decided to bite the bullet . Well what can I say, they're not the prettiest or neatest thing you've ever seen , but the 2 I've tried..................... WORK . I recoiled 6 Evods and 3 Davide heads. To say I'm pleased is an understatement. I don't have a tester thingy so just did 4 coils and all seems Ok. This is my 2nd attempt and I went into it with greater confidence than the 1st time. Here's to the next time

Good for you sue1952 ... we all venture into recoiling with a little trepidation but that first success is the truly memorable one

So few of us take up vaping with the slightest idea that we will become mechanics, engineers, electricians and chemists in the process. I've learned so many new skills as a result of my vaping and it's a fabulous feeling when you try something new and discover that it actually worked! Well done Sue!!

well done sue1952 I bought some wick and wire a couple of weeks ago after reading Romelee's great thread, but haven't actually plucked up the courage to do anything with them yet !

Well done sue1952 You are doing far better than me - I've got such a gammy right hand, I've had to give up with recoiling.

Why is it everyone seems to be able to do this other than me lol?
Gah I can build a bloody computer but building a wick and coil that doesn't end up tasting well like coil seems to be beyond me...

aaaw thanks everyone. I would say to anyone that already has the supplies of wick and wire, give it a go. You really have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Yes it's fiddly and yes it makes you curse but hey ho, nothing ventured, nothing gained. I have gammy thumbs too Chrissie, having an operation on the 31st to try and correct the right one. I found using the ekowool and a straightened paper clip so much easier than the wick. I was tending to get just a bunch of fibres with the silica wick, where I had wound it too tightly, so plan B came into force and wahhhhaaaaay. The evod heads did taste a bit eeeew for the first couple of draws....................then voila all okeydokey
