I have just found out that I am no longer allowed to use my ecig inside my local pub. So now I will have to inhale the smoke of others if I want to vape. They are going to put up signs and the reasons are that they are not government approved and that nicotine is harmful to others around them. Sad times !!!

Have you tried educating them? They ARE eu approved and they have been extensively tested and found to Have no measurably negative impact on anyone.

I wouldn't imagine it's a landlord decision , but that of the brewery.

Going to do some research tomorrow and print some stuff to show them. Most frustrating thing ever as I have been vaping in the pub for at least 3 months. If you have any links it will be appreciated. Also as a side note I will be popping to your shop on Saturday next week after discussing with the bf who lives in Colchester and since I just won £49 on the pubs bonus ball so more money for vape gear

I wouldn't imagine it's a landlord decision , but that of the brewery. Spoke to the bar manager,no input from the brewery which is Greene King. She's up for me fighting the cause. The messed up thing is that he has been discussing a smoking area in the pub...which would break the smoking in public places law

There is lots in the campaign section of the forum. So your planning on spending their money on vape gear, make sure you tell them that bit, As your vaping sponsor they really shouldn't be then trying to subject you to second hand smoke! (Tongue firmly in cheek there)
I will see if I can put together some bits to help with the vaping lesson for the pub.

I think its the same as banning a person from a pub , they don't need to give a reason

What a shame bubbleglassI went into my local yesterday and they had E-lites on the shelf where they used to have cigarettes and vaping is allowed! Have a look at the Campaign for Vaping in Pubs website : camvip.webs.com/Or Maybe it's time to switch locals?

DiscoDes, can you tell me which pub that is, because if its not too far from me, I might frequent it once in a while Personally, I am struggling with my local, because its not the management who have a problem with vaping, but other customers. You have 2 types of regulars: - 1. The one that as they get steadily drunk, they get confused when seeing you exhale, thinking its smoke, so rather obnoxiously challenge the staff as to why I can 'smoke' and they cant. Trying to reason/explain to them is just a 'lost cause'! 2. The grumpy old locals, who have sat in the same seat for the last 30 years, drinking the same drinks, and again, start to cough, splutter and wake their hand in front of their face, when you are a good 50ft away, and mutter about the 'youth of today' when I am 42! I have to be fair, I now tend to vape outside, as I really dont want the staff getting the grief and hassle, bar work is shitty at the best of times, that was fine in the summer, but now its getting to the colder months, I really do have to sort something out!
