New to vaping, help please.

Hi all, I'm a newly initiated vaper as of Wednesday so please excuse any mistakes I may make in terminology etc. I have received some cola e-liquid from an eBay store on Thursday and this has been steeping in a draw since then. Yesterday I received a new evod tank and I filled with the cola but it wouldn't fire up so I rinsed and left to dry out for 24 hours. 

This morning I have refilled with the cola but doesn't taste very much and isn't hitting my throat like the peach juice I was using previously. The question is, is this likely to be a case of the cola needs to steep longer or is it possibly a faulty tank?


I can check by cleaning out one of my ce4's but only have 2 and one I will be using with peach most of the day and the other has just been filled with L&B flavour so don't really want to empty yet. Any guidance you can give would be appreciated , thanks in advance

Hi willo65, welcome to AAEC

There are lots of good links above from Karma, but I will add that you will get a different sort of vape from the evod than you get from the CE4. This is due to where the coil is in each device - the evod has the coil at the bottom, which leads to a cooler vape, and the CE4 is at the top - so the vapour is warmer when it gets to your throat. This may be causing the difference in experiences between the two different clearomizers. Neither sort is better, what you like is down to personal preference.

However, it's possible that the juice needs longer to steep, or it's just not that great. My advice would be to finish one of the CE4s, and then just put a quarter of a tank if the cola in it and see how you get on. You can clean the CE4 between uses, or vape through the change - the choice is yours!

hiya and to the forum, possible the juices need steeping or more likely cheap inferior stuff. Stick to the links supplied you will see the difference.
you said your Evod won't fire up.. have you tried it on a different Batt/PV? common facter is the contacts do differ and may need adjusting.

Unless the juice is a freshly made one, it shouldn't need steeping at all. Can you give us a link to the ebay seller you bought it from?

Firstly, e-liquid is not permitted on ebay, so anybody flouting the rules is unlikely to care about dodgy liquid.

Secondly, it's quite common for evods to not fire on certain batteries. I solved the ego-fitting-not-firing issue by getting some ego-510 adapters.

I ordered 2 different liquids, the L&B one was fine but the cola one is the one I'm struggling with.

I ordered these from eBay before realising the vast amount of vendors on line and with the useful list on this site I have since placed an order with Joose Juice which has just despatched

I've had a cola for 6 weeks and it's still not a strong taste.

(Is cola a tank cracker?)

get some of the juices from joosejuice give them a good shake and airing and leave for about 10 days - after reading on here you'll soon have loads, get your wallet ready.

Did you try the replacing the cola with the peach you have? It could be that the cola has no flavour
