After 3 years of vaping I think I may have reached the stage of not wanting to try any more mods

I'm the same. I went from an NJOY and a Nicolite, which are pretty rubbish and stupidly expensive but nicer than cigs, after a few days ordered a "shisha pen" ego-type kit, which was a new and better experience altogether, and after about 6 weeks bought a spinner and protank, and I'm satisfied with that set-up so have stuck with it. It does what I want, dead easy to use, fits in a tiny handbag, faff-free.
I loved going to a meet and chatting to modded-up vapers about what they were using and admiring their souped-up kits, but I'm only 99 days in (yes, I count them!) and don't feel quite ready for anything more advanced yet. Maybe I'll change my mind at some point? To use the car analogy, I'm enjoying the journey tootling along in my little Fiesta, I'm not ready to handle a Merc yet!

some smokers spend lots of money on nice lighters, I think the want for a caravela and chi_you is similar to this. I used to collect Zippo lighters lol had about 50 at one point, mostly limited editions and old hard to get ones.

yeah I accumulated quite a collection through 22 years of smoking mostly gifts or duty free boredom . . . .
my everyday lighter was a ltd edition space grey/ceramic dunhill, its probbably worth more than all my vape stuff combined at the moment . . . . .

no do not think your strange, only reason i hit mod route was battery lasted longer, well did at the time, but then again i am a cheap tight old basket ,not into the king of mods, just ones that do the job and are reasonably priced

The times I splashed out a couple of quid on a cool lighter rather than a Poundland multipack, I'd lose it the first time I went out with it! Usually pocketed by other smokers. (C'mon, confess, who half-inched lighters? ) Mind you, I used to live with another smoker and if I got a multipack, we'd be lucky to have one by the end of a week. Where they went, we never fathomed it out.

If what you have does what you want then consider yourself lucky, you are only missing out if you are unsatisfied. Profound. Ballsy, that bloke out of Star Wars who said wise stuff... related? I think so! We do look similar !

If it ain't broke don't fix it ... if you are content with your set up why would you want to change it? Just because the other guy has the latest gizzmo doesn't mean that it will suit you. I personally like to keep things simple with as little faffing about as possible and while I appreciate that genesis style atties, subohm coils and mechanical mods with kicks might, just might, give me the perfect vape, I am content with a vv electronic mod and an iclear30.

My advice would be if it isn't broke then don't fix it, because if you do then you could end up broke. Shinyitus is very very contagious.
