Apparently an 'analogue' is something outdated/outmoded . . . so I guess tobacco cigarettes if you're a Vaper fall into that category . . . personally I don't get it Yasmin and so continue to call cigarettes just that or ciggies/cigs as I've always done and will continue to do so. Stealth Vaping, is when you want to have a vape but have to do it on the QT, because of circumstances . . . for instance, when at work - the loo's make an ideal place for a stealth vape - I'm lucky cos I go into the Vitamin Stockroom. You can also get Stealth juice, that doesn't create a great deal of vapour, or you could just exhale down your tshirt.

@ bel & perpy - thanks for the explanation. I'll continue to call it ciggies then. Don't think I can steal vape in the office though. The fire alarm will definitely goes off. Not sure which one I dread most...the water sprinkler or the fire wardens however if I exhale down my top....that should elimate the risk I think.....hmm.....I know I don't mind smelling like cocomel or banoffee but the wet patch....hmm.....decisions decision @ Jemima. Hey! That's one hunky picture you have there Sorry for the confussion. I thought I might as well use my real name here but now that you mention it, I shall be changing to a different picture so I can confuse more people lol.

Yasmin, most fire alarms aren't affected by the vapour from an e-cig.
There are basically 3 types of smoke detectors -
1) Heat detectors - they aen't sensitive to smoke, only heat so an e-cig wouldn't set these off.
2) Ionisation smoke alarms - This is by far the most common type of alarm & it reacts best to a fast-flaming fire. So again, an e-cig won't set this off.
3) Photo electronic - This type of smoke alarm reacts best to smouldering fires, where a lot of smoke is produced. So yes, a lot of vapour from your e-cig could set this off.

As Chris says Yasmin - I vape in the Staff room as well at work and the smoke detector's don't go off.
Infact the last two courses I've been on, the Trainer has said to stay inside and vape - despite me offering to go out with the smoker's . . . wish more companies were as enlightened!
Just a shame they discontinued stocking them, as I'd have loved to have had the opportunity to sell ecigs to customer's looking for a healthier option to cigarette smoking.
