I don't mind the winter, it makes no difference to me because I am a miserable git as I sit here with my coat on and I am only 45. The electric and gas companies love the winter while the rest of us have difficult choices to make whether we heat or eat and speaking of food, I could go a lovely pan of scouse and a pair of gloves.

Good things in winter... Snuggling up for a cuddle in bed (with granddaughter not his nibs! ) Making snowmen with the kids. Opening prezzies with the kids at Christmas Apparently I am told that Nannas wheelchair is to be decorated for Halloween and Christmas this year. Not sure if that's good or bad yet! Beef stew and dumplings.

This year I will have summer all winter!!
Our (new to us) caravan is in my workshop while I work on it and I will be able to sit in there everyday with the heater on and dream about long summer days, BBQs, long walks with the dogs and all the other daft things we do when on a campsite.
It will almost like being away in it. I say almost because as it is inside, I canny get a dammed TV picture. Och well, at least the radio works.

Many of the Australian work mates and friends I knew, had never experienced snow. Well, they wouldn't would they? There is only one very small part of Aus that gets it and the name escapes me right now, but it's in the state of Victoria.

I'm with OneDay - I hate the fact it gets dark so early For me, the only 2 good things about winter & the colder weather are - !) My furry friends cuddle up closer than ever. 2) My log burner.

Your right there Bluefish. In winter I always turn the heating off at 7pm and light all the candles, with the doors closed the heat is amazing,I even have to take my dressing gown off, I have 12 tee holders dotted around the room and if I am watching telly I turn the lights off too, very cosy.
