Trust me on this one, i had a good think about it and thought: eVic with Trap Tank for Tobacco flavors Ehpro Nzonic with Kayfun 3.1 for Dessert flavors Spinner with Kayfun 2.1 for Absinthe/Aniseed flavors Davide is for testing out new mixes as i find i need a full tank to know if it's a good mix or not, dripping got on my wick (pardon the pun) It's all i need as i was looking at all my tanks/mods and thinking they are just sitting there doing nothing, some of them ain't even been used before so i sold most of it. If and when some new OMG atty comes out then maybe i will sell one thing to get it but i cannot see that being anytime soon, when i say OMG i mean a atty that stands out by atleast 50% better than the rest out there. I am really having a hard time finding something to use for work, I have been taking my KFL's in but they are to big. I thought the spheroid with a 14500 would be the answer. Hopefully I can get it working spot on and be done with it. I very rarely check the classifieds now as there is very little I want except a top end dripper.

I am sure you will get it up and running how you like it ginge7289 just finding it is the key i suppose, once you do you will more than likely love it, at the end of the day a lot of people like the Spheroid so it must be doing something right.

I know mate and it was from all these recommendations that I got it. I have stripped it down and washed the filler out. Im going to try a different juice in it and see how that works out (I also have that juice in another KFL so I will have a comparison)

I purchased a Spheroid because everything I read said the flavour was better than a KF, that sounded great for me and putting it onto a 14500 mod means it fits in my work clothes great - WINNER However, I have tried 2 set ups in it so far, 2mm silica with a lasso loop touching the filler, which vapes good. But not as good as a KF, I also tried a microcoil with cotton and it was pants (but I don't like it in the KF either) the filler im using appears to be the jewel filter pad stuff. So if you have a Spheroid how do you get the best out of yours? I use 2 x 3mm silica with a lasso loop and find it works extremely well; maybe that extra bit of wick thickness helps? I have seen endless debates about what filler to use but I've found that Sera works fine - I would think the jewell filter pad stuff is very similar. I mainly use tobacco juices and for those I find the flavour is great. The 2.1 was the first Kayfun I got and that is good as well and of course holds a lot more juice than the Spheroid. It is, though, significantly longer than the Spheroid and personally I don't like the look of the knurling on it. The 3.1's are of course much bigger and the best I can do to describe my impressions of the differences between them and the Spheroid is that they are not so intense and perhaps taste a bit smoother. Some have found they need to lower the power and/or nicotine level with the Spheroid because of that. I have certainly found it best for me to not go too low with the coil resistance in them and find 1.5 - 2.0 ohms is the range I like best in them. In the end, looks and performance are such personal things when it comes to these sorts of high quality rebuildables. They are all very good, but the way you vape, the kinds of juice you like and probably loads of other factors will form each individual's view on them.

Not for the Spheroid, but this is a similar one I did on the Prometey (another good attie by the way!): With the Spheroid I usually do the coil diagonally between the posts rather than on top as I prefer it close to the air intake. If I remember correctly, the further from the airhole you place it the more flavour but less throathit you get and vice versa.

I use 1mm silica in both my Spheroids. Single loop (double loops don't seem to make any difference). Jewel filler. I've been experimenting with different amounts of filler as well. So far, 20 mm wide by about 50 mm long seems to be about right. I don't know about 'better than a Kayfun'.. sold mine rather quickly (2.1, 3.1, Lite) but they're certainly way easier to set up, fill and carry around. Oh, and dave, Closer to the air hole = more flavour, further away = more throat hit.

Oh, and dave, Closer to the air hole = more flavour, further away = more throat hit. I always get this confused! I've lost too many brain cells over time To be honest though I've found I get quite a thump from the Spheroid wherever I put the wick! I've settled on nearly the same with the filler - 15mm x 55mm

Im just going to put another flavour in and see how that goes.

Right reserve into the spheroid and it is vaping good. Side by side with the same juice at the same resistance in a KFL with a double navy nest I would say the flavour is slightly and it is slightly less, more vapour, and a slightly harder throat hit.
I think I will try 3mm on it tomorrow, hopefully it will not cause any airflow issues?
If anyone else has any pointers then I would love to hear them.

So if you have a Spheroid how do you get the best out of yours? I just shove a 2mm pretzel shaped wick in, using whatever wire comes to hand first with the blue foam filler, top up and away I go making sure the coil is positioned directly over the air hole. It's probably not the ' best ' but works and does me Ginge. That's about as much faff as I want to be bothered with when it comes to re-coiling.

I think compared to setting up a KF (which is easy) this is even less faffing about and I don't have to empty a tank to change the wick either, which is a winner. Just want to get the best from it

dave how do you get 2 x 3mm in there without shorting? Do you put them one on top of the other? Side by side mine touch the thumb screws.

Yes, one on top of the other and I wind the coil fairly tightly (not too tight or it gets strangled). Sometimes I have to prod things about a bit to keep the coil clear of the posts when I do it diagonally between them but it usually goes in fairly easily. You can always put the coil on top of the posts like Scott does: www.e-cig-reviews.com/GP%20Spheroid.htmlLots of people find that works well for them

Ill give it a try, when I got the 3mm to work without shorting it did seem to taste better. I also think I have slightly to much filler, once I vape the juice out of this im going to cut it down to 55mm and see how that goes
