I just shove a 2mm pretzel shaped wick in, using whatever wire comes to hand first with the blue foam filler, top up and away I go making sure the coil is positioned directly over the air hole. It's probably not the ' best ' but works and does me Ginge. That's about as much faff as I want to be bothered with when it comes to re-coiling. Is that the double loop one perp? Yes it is Ginge, I use that wick arrangement in my drippers as well . . . once I find something that works ( and that I can do! ) then I don't tend to bother experimenting further. My mind isn't very enquiring when it comes to rebuilding.

The Spheroid is pretty robust, most people would be horrified if they saw the abuse one of mine gets at work but it stands up to it very well, i gave up trying to find a cheap alternative for work & just resigned myself to the fact that my work roid might sustain some damage. Sounds like you're having some success with it, good for you! This is one of its big advantages, plus the fact that you can get replacements for all of the bits. Mine doesn't really get much rough treatment, but in a year I've dropped my first one several times, scratched it, chucked it in my pocket numerous times etc. I have replacement bits for it but I've kept it going, complete with dings and scratches as I take it with me everywhere

I got the new spares kit from vapourart yesterday. It is a COMPLETE spares kit: 3 O rings, new PEAK insulators, screws, posts and nuts. The new posts are really nice. Screwdriver FTW! So I rebuilt one last night and I'll do the other tonight. On the new posts the negative one doesn't protrude at all into the base, so no chance at all of shorts. It's a bit fiddly getting the nut on the bottom of the positive post, but not too bad.

It was only the 3mm silica that was causing the issue, if I was enjoying the vape from it I would 100% get this upgrade, but Im not enjoying it so its up on the classies

Fair enough... if I didn't already have 2 I'd have it off you. Doubt you'll have much trouble getting rid of it.
