Well I come from the Spey Valley, a place not to be in winter unless you're fond of the cold. . .

Hi i am on my motorbike all year round and i dont think its cold Ditto - but today is the first day of the thermal long-johns for me. First frost of the year last night, and I'm really feeling it in my feet. Oddly enough, I don't feel it on the bike, just when I'm sitting around.

Cold ? Nah us Yorkshire folk dont believe in it. Some of us dont even bother with such luxuries as windows, flippin new fangled things. Gaping great holes in your walls, thats what you want. Get some fresh air your lungs.

Had my heating on very low in the mornings just to take the chill out of the air.
Really feeling it today though, beautiful sunny day, dry clear skies but cold wind, will get the thermals on soon if this carries on and I hate thermals I like that they keep me warm and save on the heating but , layers, forget it, hate it, they make me feel wrapped up like a cocoon and can't move about properly. I agree with Perps, if I am not going out I love my huggy bear dressing gowns, warmer than clothes for indoors, just get changed pm to take dog out for his run.

Need to train your dog better , then you have no need change .

We have the htg on now for an hour in the morning and from about 5-10pm, but next month we will be getting some of that new fandangled double glazing, and that should warm things up a bit, and the new doors should stop them banging in the wind. But when I think of all the vape stuff I could have bought with that money

You know its cold when you have to chip ice off the inside of your windows every morning coz the vapour from your breath is freezing there.

Or after 20 min driving the windscreen washer is still frozen I have turned into a southern pansy the last few winters, wouldnt have thought i grew up in scotland There is a slight bonus to the colder weather, hot chocolates and casseroles made in the slow cooker
