it's getting cold

Haven't even heard the weather today ....just know I had my heating on for 2 hours this am

Is this the sign of things to come? any idea when it will snow (snaw)

I have had the heating on for about 3 days and I way down south.

I heard it was going to snow in October but that didn't happen.

What a couple of wusses it must be at least 6 degrees Celcius up north and in double figs down south

Often I get a feeling about it if it's going to be a hard cold one, but I can't say I have that yet.
Of course, it might be one of the years I don't get that feeling and it happens anyway, so there y'go.

still wearing shorts and tea shirts, only had heating on in the eve,thats because we leave backdoor to conservatory for cats to get out cat flap,upstairs retains heat ,just enough heat from water tank in airing cupboard keeps it snug

I've no intention of putting my heating on until December if I can avoid it, simply because I refuse to line the pockets of these fuel companies anymore than I absolutely have to.

Layers of clothing and a fluffy dressing gown are standard day off dressing for me, it's not brilliant when you have to answer the door however.




There is only me and the dog, he has his own fur coat . . . and I'm lucky in having a very efficient gas fire if it gets really chilly.

I'm having my igenix heater on for an hour or two in the ams and evenings and that's it. I phoned the electric board who told me to switch off the water heater and just have it on for an hour in the mornings.

Anything to avoid the whopper £500 bill I had last year for the winter...

Hi i am on my motorbike all year round and i dont think its cold yet i only have two t shirts 1 jumper scarf riding jacket and a set of longjohns on so its still quite warm yet

I'll probably be posting from my pit if its a cold winter!! have laptop set up in back room by patio door and its chilly enough normally our house is impossible to insulate, no cavity walls, attic bedroom build into roof eaves .....its bloody parky! easier to slip into bed and watch TV, tweet, post via tablet ( casserole meals prepped and slow cooked for when my hoard come home)

Yeah, i'm officially 'nesh' I cant cope with the cold at all, I normally type midwinter on laptop wearing hoodie [up] fingerless gloves + 2x dressing gowns, no I wont do webcam!! Tease-smiley

Heating only on for an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening. Its a big old granite house. Once its cold almost impossible to warm it up.

I shut my window today coz the wind was hitting at an angle that made it bang, but open again now and still sitting in me t shirt with no heating on.
I'm not going to be bothered much until the daytime temperature gets below zero. . .
