Right - I've got some strawberries and cream on the go which whilst not my favourite at least I can taste so vaping like fury on that in the hope that it will keep me away from the stinkies! Went and bought a packet but they're still wrapped up.... effington, dont give up, you can do this! You bought ciggies, so what, the big thing is they are still wrapped! But you know what? Even if they are now un-wrapped and smoked, you havnt failed. Your having a blip, thats all. I had so many blips I was...very blipped ??? I felt like throwing the towel in loads of times at first, if I had a towel for every time I felt like giving up Id have more towels than SHAWS. I was fed up of leaky clearos, fed up of not liking the juices, I thought there must be something wrong with me because everyone else seemed to take to vaping like a duck to water ....except, most probably didnt, many have taste issues with juices, or struggled until they found the right bit of kit for them, or felt at some point or another that it was all just too much fuss and faff. I had a blip as recently as just a month or 2 ago. I smoked. I thought that was it. Id sinned But then I got some new gear, tried this and that till I found what worked for me, and havnt looked back since. Its trial and error, the juices I thought I liked when I first started vaping, I dont like now. The juices I never thought I would ever want to try, I now love. Its normal to go through a stage of nothing tasting right. Im still having some leaking issues (not me personally, I may add...no tena-lady moments for me, no siree!! ) but Im learning new things all the time about vaping and Im getting there... I still have bad-vaping days, but Im sooooo glad I didnt give up because the bad days get fewer and the good days are just FANTASTIC! Tomorrow is another day, tomorrow may be better for you or it may not, but EVENTUALLY things fall into place and before you know it, your a non-smoker....sometimes by accident! Trust me effington, If I can do it, anyone can! I have zero will-power, a very stressful life, a demanding job and an ex-husband whose determined to make my life as difficult as possible. Its hard at times, but just stay positive, its really worth all the hassle when you finally "get it" and it all slots into place. And it will.

Just a wee update - firstly thanks so much for all your words of encouragement. I'm hanging on in there as you say and puffing away. Stinkies still intact! I've decided that I do much prefer the evod to the protank and as the one with the spare head I had seems to be working OK I might give the one from the protank a go in the morning... Flavours still a bit dodgy but not as bad as before. I went and cleaned my teeth and that seems to have made things better - maybe the mint?! So - one more question for tonight. I do obviously need to get some more heads. Could yolu point me to what is going to be the best to buy? As I said up thread, I prefer more PG but should I keep that to 60/40?? And what about resistance - dont' really understand what the difference is so would be grateful for some guidance there too. Thanks so much - quite simply you are the most helpful forumites I've come across (oh, and I'm sorry if my previous sweary avatar offended anyone

I'd certainly up your VG ratio Effington . . . tbh I never really found PG had that much of a throat hit anyway, nic strength made more of a difference to me. Myepack is probably a good place to look for heads, I'd go for the 1.8ohms: myepack.co.uk/evod-coil-heads-1-8-ohm.htmlWhen they're new I start at 3.7/3.8 volts and work up as they peak off with use.

effington I prefer throat hit too, I've had no leaks on my Evods using 70/30 Stick with it, you'll get through the rough patch. As you've found out, brushing your teeth really helps, a good mint flavour in another tank can be just as effective, I use joosejuice soft mint for exactly the kind of problems you're having! (Tastes just like real soft mints too, no nasty menthol for me!) I use fasttech for my heads, www.fasttech.com/p/1387600, but obviously you'll want something faster in the meantime. I've used (whisper it) ebay when in a pinch ( link) and found these to be absolutely fine. Edit: The myepack ones above are cheaper if delivery is free?

I posted that update before reading the posts that had come in the meantime - great minds think alike re the teeth cleaning - good to know it's a tip that might work if some others find it handy too. Smokeybebe - thank you, your post particularly struck a chord, not least because I too have a stressful job, a sod of an ex - I also have two 'orrible (not really, well, not all the time) kids to deal with too! Thank you I think my original post was possibly intended as a cheerio, see you around, thanks for the memories but will perservere

tomorrow is another day- worry not. I often feel my vaping is less affective in evenings, mainly because I often overdo it and/ or taste buds go haywire. I'm sure it's normal in early days?
if it's any help, I had a stinkie 4 days in.... it put me right off! it was genuinely awful?! 35 years smoking and one slip up tasted vile. so bad the recall put me of slipping back

By the way effington, re. the tagging a name, all you need to do is put @ in front of the members name & it will show up blue in your post......hover your cursor over a members name above the avator & you'll see what I mean.....it's best to hover your cursor over the name first, as sometimes the forum members name is different.......hover it over pep's name & you'll see hers is different.

You can also 'ALT' click a user - then you don't have to worry about any changes in their name.
Also, get and have yourself a drink of milk - it'll help your tastebuds
