Could I also ask folks to click on report post from the drop down cog - that way any member of staff that's online will instantly be alerted to any spam/unregistered vendors posting links.

Hello and welcome tominmids from a fellow newbie, this has to be one of the friendliest and informative forums, I've spent all weekend wandering around in awe of this gang and their knowledge of vaping and I've learned so much already. I'm sure you will too....enjoy! X

tominmids - a great choice, I'm sure you will get much more out of this kit. If you are perplexed when you open up your vapemail please ask - I know I've said this before, but what seems like an unsurmountable problem to you will probably be straightforward and we can sort you out. Having said that, the Evods are a doddle to use, and you should find the batteries come with a factory charge, enabling you to use one straight away while you charge the other one fully. A word of caution which you may have pocked up from browsing the threads - never leave a battery charging unattended. In (very) rare cases they have been know to set themselves on fire, or even explode (extremely rare!). Better to be safe than sorry!!

Hi All. I'm very new to this e-cig thing. Two weeks ago I bought a starter pack of E-Lites in my local supermarket in an effort to quit baccy. Welcome tominmids You did well on the E-Lites. I tried them, found I got about 200 small puffs and terrible nicotine cravings.... not to mention the expense. They are the most expensive brand by a long way. All I can say is, if you quit rollies and a pipe on them, that is some achievement. (Some impressive willpower in there....) It's early days for the e-cig industry in many ways. Certainly when it come to cost, the prices are all over the place....but that's not a problem on an e-cig forum....and this is the BEST one of those. (I am on three b.t.w. hunting down E-Lites posts.... ) If you are stuck for juice or want any extra bits and bobs, give us a shout. Always ready to help, often in Birmingham too....

Thanks everybody for the warm welcome and the very helpful advice. I've gone for the EVOD from myepack, it looks excellent value. I've also ordered a couple of tobacco juices. This was a little tricky as I had'nt a clue what they taste like, but am guessing that I'll need to try a few to see what I like. I've gone for Turkish Tobacco and USA Dark to start with, and look forward to trying several others until I find one or two to settle with. Once again, thanks for all the advice, it has definitely helped my choosing. Tom Great news Tom, I'm sure you'll notice a big improvement to what you're currently using. Any questions when you receive it, then ask away. Your batteries may well come with a little factory charge ( hopefully ) so you can try one out whilst you've the other on charge as Andy says. Juice I don't find especially easy to advise on, as our tastes are so individual . . . but I'd buy small bottles of eliquid and not be tempted to buy mega bottles initially even if they are a bargain. Your tastes may well change a few months on. I learnt that the hard way.

I'm overwhelmed by how friendly and helpful this forum is. You all make me feel very welcome here. djs Yes the E-Lites do seem to work out quite expensive, and it seems quite difficult to get a good draw out of them. But at the moment they are the only thing that keeps me off baccy. Hopefully when my EVOD kit arrives I will find it a bit more satisfying. Thanks for the offer of help, it is very much appreciated. Perpetua I can imagine that it is difficult to advise on juice, as you say everyone has their own unique individual tastes. I will be starting with small bottles until I find some that I really enjoy, and I suspect I'll always be trying different flavours if only to satisfy my curiousity. I am going to have to learn about juices, about the various thicknesses, strengths and tastes But it should be quite fun exploring them

Hello and welcome tominmids I am not sure about the juices you have bought but some taste better after they have sat "steeping" for a few days so if you get something you do not like immediately leave the bottle in a dark place, like in a kitchen cupboard, to "steep" for a while. You may also find that your taste buds change and you like the juice better then so do not throw away anything you do not like immediately. It took my taste buds a few months to settle down and I went through a phase where they were really erratic before they stabilised. It is fun exploring the different juices though.

I'm now vaping and thoroughly enjoying flavours I never dreamed I would when I first started. Never say never and keep an open mind on what you think you might enjoy. Smoking was never this enjoyable.
