Hi all, I'm having a slight problem with my zmax v3. When I'm pressing the fire button I'm having to be quite firm almost gripping it as opposed to just pressing it otherwise there is no response. Also sometimes I press it and when it doesn't fire I look at the screen and see it's cycling through the options instead. This isn't a constant problem, perhaps 50% of the time, so annoying enough.
I'm wondering could this just be some crap under the button and is there a technique to clean it out. I think I may have read somewhere that the top part may just be pressed on, or was that a vamo ? I don't really want to be trying to prise it off though if it's going to be an awkward job and knacker it up.

Can't be sure, but it sounds like a problem with the PCB. If it is still under warranty I'd be thinking about returning it. Jag. (Hope I am wrong ....)

It sounds like the button mechanism.......I've just had the same problem with my EHpro & the push button where it fits on the circuit board was kaput..... maccafan is at present fitting a new board & button from an old z-max I have, as the EHpro is slightly different, being a side button set up.....apparently, on the z-max, the button moves off it's firing position slightly, which causes your problem & is quite an easy fix......drop a p.m. to raid & he'll sort it for you.

Sorry to hijack slightly, but can someone tell me how to tell which version of the ZMax you have, and (related to the question) if there are teardown guides somewhere (my cap seems very tight).
