I've had to clean the coil heads twice in three weeks - I seem to have some really gungy e-liquid. But what's the life span of one of these, how many times can I clean it and use until it needs replacing. And how will I know when it needs replacing? TIA.

At a guess, when the element packs in or when the vape doesn't give satisfaction. That's what I would do, check your battery first though, little vape can be caused by a low battery.

When it's no longer revived after a clean I'd say Emmita . . . 10 days vaping from something that's essentially a disposable item with a coil gunker of an eliquid, isn't bad in all honesty.

We have a few juices that would gunk the head on a CE5 in two days emmita the worst is flavourwest Mojito, the juice goes black in a clearo even as were vaping it! Twice in three weeks is good going, particularly if you can clean it well enough to use it again

My clearo heads used to last about a week, including rinsing and dry-burning, before they were consigned to the 'recoil' box. Having one last almost 2 weeks is quite good going! Now I can recoil whenever I want to, I don't even bother to dry burn - just whip out the old head, recoil it, and pop it back in for a good vape with a decent bite and loads of TH!!

Sorry for the next dumb question, but if I learn to rewick and recoil, does that mean I don't have to ever buy a new complete atomiser head again? Just have to replace the wick with a new coil around it? If that's the case, that's a great money saver.

Correct, emmita; for the price of 10m of .2 Kanthal wire and a couple of metres of wick @ £2/m you will never need to buy another atomiser head. I've just bought 3m of 2mm Ekowool and 10m of wire for about £9 delivered, and that will do quite a few months of Protank heads. Bargain!!!! It's really not as difficult as it seems. There are loads of good videos around on YouTube, and loads of help, advice and troubleshooting here on the forum to help you. Got to be worth a go, and there's nothing to compare with the first toot on your first home-coiled head!!

Great thanks. I watched one of those rewicking vids last night and had the "lightbulb" moment. Somewhere on this forum I saw someone recommend Kanthal A1 32 gauge wire - would that be good?
