Hi everone,I have`nt posted for ages, but I need help in understanding this proposed ban. If it happens,is it the whole ecig or just the juice. I have bought lots of juice to keep me going for a while but how about atties, batteries etc. Should I stock up on those as well. I have been vaping for just a year now and although I do still smoke about 5-7 cigs a day,I don`t want to go back to 40 a day. Sue.

Hi Sue, I believe they are proposing to ban the e-cig as well as the juice. So yes, I do feel it would be a good idea to stock up on all parts.

Thanks Chrissie. I have been looking at Ok Smokey`s site and his 5 pack atties and batteries look pretty good. I need some carts as well,as I keep biting the ends off them. I still use the 901. I bought 5pack atties off TW last year and they are useless. The bridge thingy is too short and although I get a vapour,I can`t taste a thing. Anyone tried Smokey`s. Sue

I do sympathise, I had some duds from TW (yet I got some from his sister company, TECC, and they were quite good) and I've just bought some from Cloud9 that are no good but at least I only bought a couple of them. I haven't bought from OK Smokey for quite a while. The trouble is, retailers can get a new batch of supplies that are a different style from the ones you got before George is usually pretty good if you have to "complain" about his gear. scylla

Hi Scylla, is George, Ok Smokey ? I bought two 901 starter packs off ebay, when a lot of sellers where getting rid of their stock before the ban last June. I`m still using 3 of the batteries and both atties from those packs. I can`t remember who the seller was. I can`t find my way around this site like I could on the old forum,Which is why I gave up posting. Think its just me.Cannot get the brain in gear. Sue

Yes Sue, George is OK Smokey. I've not bought his atties so can't say what they are like. Have bought his double flavour e-liquids though & they are really good Sounds like you have done amazingly well with those starter packs to be still going after all of this time. Sorry to hear you can't find your way round this forum. I've tried to keep it as simple as possible with this General board being the main place that people post in. There is a sub forum up there ^^^^ though with a thread with links to suppliers in.

Hi Sue. Did you also buy carts from TW when you bought the atomisers ?.
I ask because I had a duff batch of carts a while back, I know I did not buy them from TW.
The filling kept shrinking up inside and it caused weak and intermittent vapour.
I found some freebie zero carts I got from TW and as soon as I started using them the problem stopped.
So dont give up on your atomisers - try pulling the stuffing a bit out of the carts you have.

Interesting to hear that some TW atomisers have been duff.... I was using the same 2 atties i got with my 2 starter kits i got from TW until recently, but the new 5 pack i got don't seem as good... last night, for instance, i was using an attie i'd had going for a couple of days, it suddenly tasted vile, burnt and with a sour, bitter taste to the vapour....it wasn't the juice, as i put a drop on the back of my hand and tasted it....unfortunately, i was at work, so couldn't change atties...i finally ended up doing the rinsing with hot water, drying off by pressing button for awhile, then rinsing again... i did this 4 or 5 times and it did improve the vile taste, but not completely....wot the heck caused it? i've been vaping for months now and never had that before, only the burnt taste when i need to top up the juice or when the filler used to stick to the attie... also, im not happy with the performance of the Spiderfires i got from DX, i've not timed them as such, but they only last a few hours before im having to change them over.....i wondered if it might be the charger, rather than the batteries, cos they seem to recharge very quickly....so i ordered a Nano, but they seem to be outta stock of them...that was 6th March and still no shipped email.... Having a grumpy couple of days, methinks

(((Lilac)))) I'm beginning to think that atties ain't what they used to be . When I was young (OK when I started vaping nearly 2 years ago ) atties lasted me for several months. Now I'm lucky if they last me several weeks As for your spiderfire batteries, I do think that the slow trickle charge you get from using a Nano charger is the best way to charge them. If I was you, I would get in touch with DX as that is a very long time to wait.

When i do the tracking thing, it says 'Temporary stock shortage'
I'll email them to ask when they expect them back in stock, Chrissie x

That might be an idea Chrissie, i'll see wot DX say first...
Chrissie, while you're there...i was looking at batteries on LF, they have 16340's, protected ones, for £4.89 for 2....but they also have unprotected ones with the number 17340, wot are those, never seen that number before ???

I've also not seen 17340's before - I think they will be too fat to fit in the SD.
