Yes folks, I spotted my first Christmas Lights up in a garden in the next village this evening.

Does that mean it's official?

Can I hang up my Christmas Stocking yet?

Here was me thinking all that stuff was over a month away!!!

I must have only thought I had gone to bed last night and slept the night away.

Instead I must have slept for a month and just not realised it.

Now where did I put that Santa Suit last year?

I went for a meal with the girlfriend on the 6th November at a local Marstons pub n grub place and they had Christmas music on with a few Christmas type pictures on the wall. Funny thing though they still had halloween decorations up aswell. It's getting bad when Christmas is merging with halloween. I might be getting a bit Eboneezer, I don't know but it peed me off truth be told. Christmas music while I'm eating at the beginning of November. I wanted to speak to the manager but the girlfriend wouldn't allow it, no idea why, she says it's because I occasionally have a way with words .

Due to my re-clutter of the house, I don't think I have room for a tree this year

Get on Karma, clear a spot to make space for it. My bd isn't December, but the tree may well be going up for it.

Best place for a Tree is outside in the garden....as you may gather I'm not a big fan of christmas.

We have had the same Christmas Tree for the last 20 years.
We inherited it from my folks and they got it in America possibly 20 years before that.
It is sold today on the Internet and called a Table Decoration.
It is china, about a foot high, painted green and has little coloured plastic bobbles on the ends of the branches.
The whole thing is lit inside by a 40 watt bulb.

Every year it comes out the box, the newspaper around it unwrapped and it gets put on the window sill.
After the New Year it goes away in its box till next year.

Christmas in a box.
I like it!!

chrisjw, you remind me of a couple of guys I used to know that took their families to the Canaries every year around the 20th of December and did not return until the 4th of January.

They stayed in a hotel that did not celebrate Christmas and Christmas Day, for them, was standing on the shore in T-shirts and Sandals, Fishing.

They both reckoned that the money they saved on Cards and Pressies, paid for the trip!

I have long, but secretly, admired them!

I saw the coca cola advert for the first time last week. That normally tells me it's Christmas, but seriously it's too early!!!

I haven't even started shopping yet :\

I just finished my last bit of shopping 30mins ago, all presents done and wrapped, all food shopping done and in the basket with Asda (just waiting more near the time to Christmas before i change it from in basket too checkout)

All i need to do now is put the Tree up
