I presume the gurgling is caused by air getting "under" the juice when the tank is tipped out of Vertical, and cant escape other than inside the head and takes a bit of juice up with it when the bubble "pops" inside the chmney

JerriI recently switched from the iclear30 and 16s to the new DBC Aspires and they are brilliant ... never a leak, gurgle or dry hit no matter which way you hold or set them down .... and without a doubt, the best vape you can get this side of an RBA imho. Can I ask where you got them please? They eat the juice though don't they?

They use far less juice than my old iclear30s but I wouldn't know how they compare to a single coil clearo as it has been many moons since I last used one (a stardust).

Why not rebuild Super-Shiny? I don't have one. I use & rebuild evods. They don't gurgle, but if they did I'd assume I was getting too much juice to the coil and add a flavour wick.

giles the heads have a little rubber grommet/metal pin that holds the wires in place, same as the evods does but the rubber grommet is poorly made and will get weak overtime, that is not so much the problem, the problem lies with the base, it has a rubber ring that acts like a sucker when you put the head into it. So when you remove the head the rubber ring pulls against the rubber bung on the head which over time the rubber ring will pull out the parts on the head....see piccy:

You tend to vape at quite low settings and use PG heavy liquids I * think * Jerri . . . how about trying an eliquid with a higher VG content and maybe upping the settings a bit, see if that helps. I don't get a single gurgling/leaking issues with any of the BCC clearo's I use and I'm convinced that a VG heavy eliquid helps. The modern kit we have now is still capable of wicking a denser eliquid efficiently.

Mine currently has snake oil in and that's 60/40. I'm at 6watts. I've a few more on the way from health cabin. I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually but it's annoying right now as its the only problem I have with them. Want to try the aspire but the mixed reviews in the big thread are putting me off a bit. I'm trying to get away from the Vivi novas simple because you have to keep them topped which is fine in the house, up but I've not found anything that gives me as good a flavour. Or that I like as much. I love the idea of a bcc because there's no swirling etc but it seems I always end up back with the Novas

Generally I use 7-7.5 watts, perhaps the low setting you use isn't vaporizing the eliquid quickly enough and that's why you're experiencing the gurgles. But I'm at a loss really as I don't get any of the problems you seem to have.

But a great vape, heads last for yonks and if it solves the gurgles for you, then it's worth a punt for a few pounds?
