Freezing a dual coil

Now this is a strange thing to do I know, and to be honest I dont know why I did it but this morning at about 6am I took a pull on my e-cig and it was quite hard to pull on, nothing new there as it is a dual coil and has been in use for a couple of weeks now.
I have done the soaking in boiling water to clean them but I dont think it has a great affect.
As I have quite a few of these I have nothing to lose so instead of chucking it in the bin I decided to put it in the freezer for the day.
I took it back out at about 5pm and it was .........frozen! so I put it in my pocket for a while to defrost, once it had warmed up I blew it out (battery end) gave it a couple of dry burns and filled it up with juice.
The result is great, much better than boiling water and it pops and crackles again like a new one.

I would be very interested to know the results if someone else were to give this a go, or has ever done this before.

I'm just putting a Transparent DC that's past it's best in the freezer now Wayne . . . I'll report back tomorrow.

LOL excellent, I must add that mine is a metal one so Im not too sure if the plastic ones will be ok, could they possibly split? we will soon find out I guess.

I've put it in a bag just in case Wayne, as I don't fancy a gloppy mess in the freezer if it does!

Nothing ventured nothing gained, it will be the highlight of my Saturday this wee experiment.

Im 2 hours in to my "frozen" atty now and its working like a charm, the pull is nice and loose again and its giving off some great vape.
Fingers crossed it works for you I cant wait for your result .

Im just about to put a few more in to see what happens.

Only thing i can think is that when it freezes the moisture in the filler expands the filler fluffing it back up does that sound like a good theory.

Possibly, the filler is nice and white again like new.

i just tried the boiling with a Boge carto that i've used for about 10 mins that tasted burnt from the start, even when soaked with juice...

I've got a Mega XXXXXL Dcc, i don't think i'd better put it in the freezer, just in case one of the Grandkids think it's an ice pop!

Removed a clear one from the freezer this morning perpy, blew it through before I put it in there -no splits or cracks- took about 20mins to thaw out in my pocket and I have to say it actually works, It's back performing like new.
HMMMM what to try next ???

This is really weird - ive got a triple coil that is showing signs of tiredness - i might give it a freezing...

It certainly works a treat.I took my two clear dual coils out of the freezer and allowed them to thaw for half hour.I then filled up and as wayne says,its crackling away nicely and full performance is restored.I definately think freezing them restores the consistancy of the filler.I also added a Boge carto which is now kicking like a mule in my Arry carto tank.Great tip Wayne,it really does work great.
