The top and bottom caps are solid 1/8 inch metal plates. The outer shell covers a lot of metal inside. Add a 18650 and a 18350 and you are carrying around a shot-put. You can't use both batteries at the same time. The 18350 is like a reserve tank. The two bottom battery caps, one has a spring and the other a rubber insulator. On whichever battery you put the spring cap, that will be the one in use. It is a bit bigger than the MVP and I reckon it is a fair bit heavier.

Definitely a contender to the VTR in the weightlifter's mod stakes .. around 10 ozs with batteries fitted! but a great value box mod if that is the sort of thing that floats your boat.

Except that the MVP uses both batteries it contains. What's the point in a second internal battery if you have to disasemble the thing to change over? This is just stupid. For the size/weight I'd far rather the VTR (which uses the width much more sensibly) and carry a back-up battery separately.

To have a continuous use MVP you would need 2 devices though, you dont need to take out the 18650, you just swap the caps round.

MVP is passthrough. I spent a couple of weeks just using MVP continuously.

Since they didn't make it so that you could have 2 18650 batteries in it, I assume that when you switch over from an 18650 to an 18350 you have no where to store the 18650 ...  so you still have to carry a battery box    ...  in which case I would carry a spare 18650 battery which makes the 18350 aspect pretty much redundant.

I think it is a useful full time emergency spare to have in the mod, but I get your point

Actually robby , now that I think about it, you would just keep the 18650 and 18350 batteries where they are  ... all you do to switch batteries is to swap over the battery caps  .... so it is indeed a very good idea.
