Someone please help!!!! I think that you are washing it out and dry burning too often Jane ... when I ran a couple of iclear30s I would have done the routine maintenance every 2 weeks. and mine lasted for months (my best was four and a half months).

I've had this problem though with everything on mechanical mods. Not enough TH on 65/35 VG/PG on low voltage battery. Have just put it on my vamo at 4.2v and a 1.6ohm head. Vaping like a trouper

I think the longevity of these is mainly down to the fact that each coil is only going at half the wattage of an equivalent resistance single coil. They really arent being stressed at all like that. The single coil setup is running at twice the heat of each single coil in the double coil setup and another plus is that the wicking load is shared between the two as well. Only ever let them dry when you are dry burning the coil. I do it every couple of weeks, seems to be enough for me. Also if you dry with a paper towel after rinsing, just place the coils assembly on the paper towel, no need to pat the wicks. Just move the coil assembly around the paper towel for a couple of minutes. It is pretty easy to move the coils a bit if you actually pat them dry (been there, done that lol ). Another useful feature is that if one coil pops, the other should keep you vaping until you can change it. If you are using a VW device, you may not even notice for a while.

I found that I was able to up the wattage to 10 watts (from my normal 6 or 7 watts) with the iclears and the vape was immense without unduly stressing the coils ... If one of the coils was to blow, I wouldn't fancy vaping on a single 4 ohm coil however LOL.

Vaping like a trouper That's where a regulated device like the vamo comes into it's own Jane .... it will deliver the voltage that you want right up until it cuts out when the battery charge reaches around 3.3 volts. With a mechanical mod you get around 4.1 volts to begin with which then decreases gradually until either you decide to change your battery or it runs flat. If you want regulated performance from a mechanical mod you would need to run it with a kick installed.

I have always vaped at 10 watts @freefromsmoking, I hated tips on cigs and always broke them off so seemed to need at bit more vapor. If you get a chance, get an Iclear30S, it is a big improvement on the Iclear30. Really cheap on FT - £6-50 www.fasttech.com/products/0/10005988/1512900-iclear-30s-dual-coil-tank-3-0ml. Coils available cheap as well, www.fasttech.com/products/0/10005988/1519801-coil-heads-for-iclear-30s-5-pack , £6 for five

Phil Busardo took one of the 30S heads apart and they seem to be the same configuration as the normal 30 heads - ie. twin top coils with lots of dangly wick, the only difference being that the head is shrouded in a pierced metal tube.

I have become an Aspire bdc convert recently robby and have either sold or given away all my iclear 16s and 30s. The Aspires give a very similar vaping experience to the iclear 30 .... draw, warmth, flavour, TH and vapour are all on a par but you can vape the Aspire right down to the bottom without any wicking problem and there is no tilting required. I can also leave the Aspire lying flat or even upside down and no flooding or gurgling results. Best of all, they are available with pyrex tanks. The only downside is that the coils can't be dry burned but I have been washing the head and allowing it to air dry every week or so and it is still going strong after 4 weeks.

What I noticed about my 1.7 ohm coil is that it tasted burnt at 9.5W but reducing the power to 7.5W, it's a pleasant vape, so if it does taste burnt then just reduce the power before doing a dry burn. I normally do my dry burning every two weeks. I have type this post using all my fingers rather than using my index fingers after doing a typing course to see whether I could increase my wpm or words per minute. I am currently between 30 and 35 words per minute. My best is 48 wpm but accuracy was just 95%. this is may be related to the longevity of the iclear coil lasting longer as I have not done a dry burn for nearly 3 weeks as my fingers have been walking the keyboard and I haven't got a spare hand to pick up my svd. I long to do 100 wpm and vape at the same time but this may be a impossible dream. I decided to write this post only to practice my typing and my written word may be discarded to the bin. The End

Good for you stamina ... I can still only type with my two sausage fingers and then have to spend twice as long going back and correcting it

Thanks @freefromsmoking. Try typingweb tutor online if you want to get better. others are available. There is another site, you power a racing car by typing the words they put in front of you while competing against others online. I am at the back of the pack, some competitors get up to incredible speeds.
Typing web is a good site in learning the position of the keyboard characters. I still make mistakes but its a improvement. I will never be a stenographer. they type something like 250 wpm. I think if I was the stenographer, the trial would last forever and by the time the verdict was given out, the judge would probably say to the accused - go home you have done your time.
I still sometimes revert back to my sausage fingers, breaking the habit is sometimes hard to do.

I finally just fixed my Iclear flooding issues Nothing to do with the head but more the amount of juice in the bottom where the head screws in....quick wipe with two cotton wool buds (there was a lot of juice) and it's fixed... yay!!!
