I30 coil life

I bought a dual coil I30 atty 4 to 5 weeks ago and use it most of the time. I am still on the original coil and getting a good vape. Is this good considering my wife tells me I vape far too often, much more than I used to smoke. Have I been lucky or is this normal for an I30? I've got 5 spare coils that seem redundant. It does get through a lot of juice though.

I had this one for about 2 months and its still going strong.

The coil started at 2 ohms and drop to 1.7ohms now. I hope it last forever ever ever.

4-5 weeks. That is really good. Of course, lifespan on these is legendary.

Better value than just a few days/week on a Protank with certain juices.

I don't think 5 spares are redundant exactly. I just bought 5 myself and am looking forward having a nice new one every now and again.

yes...I like glass protank, but I killed two coils within 3 weeks so I'll be saving them for tank cracking juices :s

Amazing lifespan on the Iclear16 & 30 . . . makes them great value for money and well worth the extra eliquid the dual coils use yesitsme.

So you change coils when ohms reduce ? Or taste ?

I just wash mine out on a pretty much daily basis though the heads aren't lasting me as long as that ....any idea what am doing wrong though I do vape a lot (10ml + a day)

When the taste reduces or gets funky you can either change them or clean them. With the very occasional clean they can go for months.

From experience, then washing them does decrease their lifespan (idk why) Only wash them when they need it if you want them to last a long time. Also some juices gunk a lot more than others and so they need cleaned more often and so don't last as long, but still a lot longer than any other atty I have tried.

Agreed. Experience suggests that you're actually making a mistake to mess with them so often.

If you keep the juice topped up, the coil will last longer. Otherwise the wick will burn and your juice will go a dark colour and taste horrible.
When the performance drops off, you can prolong the coil life by doing, what is called, a 'dry burn'

I do this on my iclear 16s and 30s and they last for weeks.
I only need to do it approx. weekly.
In use, the coil wire gradually gets coated with burnt juice, and provides less heat.

You need to take it apart and run everything under warm water.
Then dry off the wick with kitchen towel.
Attach just the coil head assembly to a battery, and give it 4 or 5 second bursts of power, with 10 sec gaps in between.
At the beginning it will just give off smoke, and the coil doesn't glow.
After 5 or 6 bursts it will stop smoking and the coil will start to glow again

I had an iclear30 head that lasted four and a half months with a wash and dry burn every two weeks ... they are definitely a very sturdy atty
