Loving the look of the new vtr but can someone explain in simple terms what the variable wattage is and how it makes a difference ? I understand vv and have spinners using 2.00 ohm iclear 16 s , thanks in advance ..

Variable wattage adjusts the voltage relative to the resistance of the attached atty so that the same (more or less) power is dispensed whatever you attach.
The power is what is converted from electrical form to others (primarily heat) so is the best electronic measure of how much juice is getting vapourised per second.

Quite simply ... If you set the power I.e watts ... It will give you a constant vape as the battery slowly drains .. If you set the voltage the watts will drop in line with amps as the battery goes from full to empty ... {that's dragging up o level physics from 35 yrs ago so may need correcting } !!

I've only been using mine in VV I don't see the point in VW! I am vice versa Variable wattage will change your voltage according to your atomizer resistance. So there is no need to change wattage when you change attys. But when using variable voltage you might need to change your voltage if you use a different resistance atomizer.

But I like to change voltage depending on the time of day or which juice I'm vaping, so VW just does nothing for me

Sorry, that's nonsense. The resistance of the atty being fixed (a bit of a simplification, but it's independent of the battery) the power and the current across the coil(s) depends directly on the voltage. If you have a variable voltage device it holds the voltage (and therefore both current and power) through the coil steady even as the battery's output voltage drops, just as much as 'variable wattage' does. (The current through the battery is a different matter, but again it's the same in both cases - variable wattage devices are just cleverer at helping you get the right constant voltage)

I switch between various clearomisers during the course of the day to ring the changes on juice (I don't do dripping) and the coils are normally either 1.8 or 2.1 ohm. By setting the wattage I know that I'm going to get the same sort of vape regardless of which tank I'm using. If I need to, cos the coil is getting tired or I'm getting vapers tongue, I just adjust the wattage accordingly. The VTR is a beast of a thing, but I quite like that. I was thinking of upgrading (Christmas is coming) from my Innokin iTaste V3 , but I'm not sure how the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) firing signal affects the vape - what Phil Busardo calls the "rattlesnake" see his reviewIt's a shame that Innokin couldn't engineer the same "flat" firing signal as they have in the MVP 2 or the Itaste V3.

I've just got one and I was a bit taken aback by the size (although I was aware it was big) but am very pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it is to hold and operate. Much easier for smaller hands than the MVP2, which took me a while to get used, I think the button on the side and rounded edge make the difference. I still love my MVP, especially as it charged my phone the other day (and I thought that was just a gimmick!!) but big brother is up there, too.
