I'm not oldleatherlungs, though I should be after the number of ciggies I smoked . . . anyhow, ' chameleon ' is a black background that's shot through with sparkles of colour. They're not terribly noticeable though boyofford. Thanks, don't sound like a colour I'd like, simple black it is....grrr but means more spending! Chin up . . . has to be done.

Once you have bought some batteries (18350/500/650 - 18650s last quite a while) and a decent charger, then cheap fasttech mech mods are well with the money - - well, some are. I found that a vv mods electronics just made them massive with an 18650 and ended up going mechanical. But saying that, a vv mod is a very good step up from an ego type battery - just being able to carry a few charged batteries with you and replace them when they run down is great, being able to tailor your volts/watts to suit your atty is a great way to learn whats going on.

As Perpetua says it's black with green and purple shimmery bits in it - I quite like it. I've also got a pearl chrome one and that is my favourite. None of the literature mentions it but they also have overcharge protection (the green light goes off when it's fully charged). I guess eventually when I know what I'm doing I'll progress to a mech mod, which can give you variable wattage with a Kick in it, but it's really nice to have features like battery status/protection, and an ohm meter to tell if one of your iclear coils has popped (cos they do from time to time).

Well.... I decieded against it, well to delay purchase a bit.
It looks to have a lot of functions and I almost hit the buy button however decided to wait.
Trying to save up my vaping tokens for a mixing kit, fancy a go at that when get the time, maybe January, starting with simple stuff.
Showed to mate at work, tried to convince him to go halves with him taking the iclear16s, me taking the battery....and he has decided to buy it all for himself!

For me a Mech mod with a kick fitted and adjustable pin is fantastic. No more worries about tanks flooding and damaging any circuitry as it has none, and if your atty does leak you can just take the head off and clean it. They vape so so well with a kick fitted. Small in size (depending on mod though) Hard as nails, no more worrying if you drop it and break the circuitry. Love the damm things EDIT: Forgot too add they are as cheap as chips once you have bought the kick Agreed! (Nice xmas theme you got going there btw Super-Shiny!) I now have 3 vv/vw regulated mods and one mechanical mod with a kick fitted.. regulated mods are fabulous when you start out making you own coils (onboard ohms checkers are a godsend!) and for the most part give a great vape.. being able to adjust the power to sweeten the vape makes a BIG difference! Mechanical mods though just hit a lot harder.. regardless of whether they are kicked or not.. they are also generally more compact and easier to look after.. only problem is the lack of protection compared to that offered by a fully regulated mod.. I always build my coils on one of my evics for this very reason to make sure all is well and then transfer the atty to my mechanical mod to actually vape.. So to answer the question is a mod better than say an ego battery.. they are an improvement in almost every way possible! Sure, they're generally a bit heavier and more cumbersome than a normal battery but they have so many positives in their favour that weight and size arent an issue..

an ohm meter to tell if one of your iclear coils has popped (cos they do from time to time). What happens when they pop, do they just stop creating heat? With just one coil popped they don't stop working completely - but you will notice the extreme lack of vapour when you take a tote, and the normal resistance of 2.1 ohms will have risen to about 4 ohms.

Boyafford you can buy just the battery for the itaste VV/WV V3 here innovapours.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=25&product_id=159 I bought one without the charger as I have plenty of micro chargers already I use it with my protank mini's and they work and look great together. £19.50 + p &p. delivery was quick a couple of days had mine for a few weeks now

With the spec it sounds great but just not sure I like the look of it. I do like the look of the iTaste MVP, bit more pricey but same features, plus big battery..........if I'm reading right then has battery inside i.e. not replaceable BUT.... My mate at work came in today and started talking about MODs, his mate (who has been vaping less weeks than me or him) has gone straight into MODs, and let him have a few toots... Well... he said it was great, even compared using same juice...... can it taste that much better?! His mate has lent him one, not sure what it is, maybe a kayfun? I'll have a toot but this may complicate thing further!! I'm gona try and learn a bit more before investing, trying to work out juices I like at the moment, think next order may include some conc., pg, vg & nic.!

Juice taste and vapour are better cos you can fine tune it to how you want it, yeah mvp battery is built in, as in ego's.

Yes you can do that, a reasonable mod costs the same as two spinners, but is more versatile cos of the batteries.

I started on an itaste vv and was enjoying it, still have it at home but it has been relegated abit. I also have a vamo and enjoyed it also. And an svd but the evic wins at the mo for me. Well at least until I try my nemesis clone. But the itaste or svd or vamo would be a good step up or if wanting something slightly cheaper maybe a twist or spinner.
