Have been a non stinker for a few months now (the usual lookalike starter ce4 and mvp2) and an avid member/reader of this awesome site but have notice a trend of late. Many of thoe "local" corner shops are stocking e liquids at hugely inflated prices. I recently came across a "local" selling Ibaccy joose @ 6.99 for 10ml while it is available online for 4.49 !!! As a vaper I feel used and abused. I obviously declined the purchase and made my disgust apparent. Once again, as a minority, it appears as though I have set myself up for a fall if I don't play the 'interweb' purchasing game. I try to leave as little digital footprint as poss but (yes, this will no doubt be heavily scrutinized) "Hey corner shops Hands Of My Juice" !

I'm finding more and more that whatever I shop for (vaping related or not) it's much cheaper online - no high street rents & rates etc

bustrr59 and please enlarge your footprint here any time the urge takes you. There are some poor B&M shops out there, but I can understand why they tend to be expensive compared to on-line. The rent has to be paid somehow, as does the keeping the shop manned. And some people do like to see what they are buying, so I guess they convert some people who would otherwise still be smoking.

Welcome to you bustrr59. They're not all necessarily ' gougers ' . . . Rent, Business Rates and and the premium rates charged for services ( water/telephone/electricity ) all take a rather large bite out of any prices charged. A digital footprint is something I've never worried about, if you pay by PayPal with a credit card then there's a decent amount of protection there. Online shopping is one of the few passions left in my life.

Welcome. There are a good few brands out there which we know the prices of. iBreathe and iBaccy are two. If you can buy them 3 for £10, then the wholesale cost is presumably well under £1.50 per bottle. Whilst I think £6.99 is a terrible price taking advantage of those that don't know, there's every chance of getting 15 cartomizer refills out of a 10ml bottle at a cost of under 50p a fill. Compared to E-Lites charging £3.99, it's a bargain. To be honest, not many people are going to pay that once they "google" the cost of liquid.

I try to see it as: 1st step? many people I know started via cig-a-likes, and local shops selling ego's and ce4's and a percentage develop further. If whats available gets people started on quitting (which can generally be their plan) it has to be good. I generally dont label people trying that gear out as 'vapers' thats a different step on Vaping is a hobby
