Pleeeeease help me choose a present for my only grandson. I have little experience of boys. I had two daughters and six of my seven grandchildren are girls too! (Poor lad lol) as I have so many to buy for I have had to budget £20 per child. I am finding it so hard to find something for him as I have no idea what is uber cool for boys nowadays at such a low price. I feel bad but just can't afford any more than that. We are paying for all the Christmas dinner for everyone too!!

His big sister ruined that a long time ago and I like presents to be a surprise. If I ask he will know what I am getting him which spoils it in a way. Roscopecotrain never even heard of sky landers so I shall go google lol. Thanks for that.

Does he have a games console? If so, you should be able to pick up a new computer game for him - that's always my fall back present for my nephews

Got one of these remote control cars for a GS. He's just 4, but I'd have liked one when I was 10. In fact I think I'll get one now

We were in Lakeside a couple of months back and there was a stall selling remote helicopters. They were flying all over the place. What made me laugh was the amount of grown men awestruck far outweighed the amount of kids that were interested!!

Lego is always a favorite with my 10 Year old but you dont get much for £20 though Airfix have just released a Lego version of their models at about £7.99 each. Transformers or Power Rangers figures, Xbox or PSP Games or a voucher for games. Or you could really freak him out and get a Chess set

Microsoft points Dolly if he has an Xbox, can't lose Be wary of any remote control toy for £20, the cars will generally be awful on anything other than a tiled surface, and the helicopters are useless outside / ornament breakers inside Example 10yr old list.... Dylan's Xmas list this year consisted of Xbox games, a new wheeled bag for his Ice Hockey kit, Roller Blades, a couple of DVD's, Drum books, and another onesie

Moggy may be right about the remote control car. It works OK on carpet & wood floor, but if you took it outside & gave it a good run at a hard object it would probably break. I'd tell you more, but my GS says I've played with it enough.

We scored one during a sale day in the Disney store for a reasonable price. ALL the others were given with the best of intentions, but sadly a waste of money.
