Kitchen Scales - My Brain Hurts

So, not being a domestic goddess around the kitchen area, how do you read these scales.........If I wanted to measure out 20 grammes, which one is it?.....Is it the inner or outer measurement.......stoooooooooooooooopid thing.............

The inner ring is in ounces, the outer ring is in grams - simples

As reefcat says use the outer scale chrisjw, and on a side note always make sure that the pointer is set to zero when you have the measuring cup/dish on the top of the scale, should be a dial somewhere so you can adjust it
