Good luck mate ... let us know how it goes. Right, I've fired it up & so far, so good.....no leaks or gurgles.......the only problem is a tight draw, which I'll need to suss out.....for some reason, it reminds me of the Fogger, which I hated with a passion. Anyway, I coiled it much the same as I do the Aga-T.....5 wraps around a 3mm nail (to compensate for the width of the channels)....fitted the coil first & then rolled the mesh to fit through it & it sits snugly in the channels.....2mm ekowool sitting on top & "Brenda's ya auntie"....... In all honesty, my first impressions are not anything to write home about, but then, I love my Kayfuns & haven't used mesh in a while.....it's ok......better than the Fogger.......I'll play about with it some more later & try different set ups..... Funny that you find the draw tight ... I find it very airy and that's the only thing that I don't like about it. Did you give yours a good clean before you set it up Chris as I found a lot of gunk came out of mine when I stripped it down and gave it an ultrasonic clean. Another thing that a few of us have found is that you need to set your wattage higher than usual ... I would normally vape at 7 - 8 watts but I have the Taifun at 9 watts as it was pretty weak at anything lower.

Yeah, I gave it a good soaking in soapy warm water first......as I say, I've cured the tight draw now by lifting the collar a tad......I'm vaping at 8 watts & the coil is showing 1.8 ohms.......

I got mine delivered today. It's a big tank I never imagined it's this big , after I dismantled it all I cleaned it and mounted again ,coil it with 3 strips of 2mm silica and .2 Kanthal A1 Heat Resistance and got it to 1.8 ohm ,filled it up even if it was a bit hard as I couldn't get how, but then after looking on the web I got how as in the box there was no paper with it. Placed it on the Smok Magneto and it worked .By the way the base from VB is SS

Well I found that this is my favorite atomizer ever, the only issue I sometimes find is that sometimes when I place it over the Evic it reads (plays) different the Ohm like for ex when I test it over the multimeter it will read 1.9 ohm but when I place it over the Evic it read 2.4 then I take it out again and read 2.0 ohm and then 1.9 ohm. Could it be the screw on the bottom? or did some of you encounter this problem?

Varying resistance like this is usually an indication the the coil is getting gunked up melitahams ... may be time for a dry burn or a new coil?

I recoiled my Taifun using a 1.6 ohm microcoil (9 wraps of 0.3mm kanthal around a 2mm drill bit) and cotton wool .... the vape is 10 times better than the 3 wick silica set up and still leak, gurgle and dry-hit free. Give it a go guys and experience the difference ... like night and day. ETA: leave the cotton long enough so that it reaches down to just above the threads of the base.

Its a new coil @freefromsmoking when it makes like that and I still cannot get the reason why

I did made a coil but I used .25 kanthal as its what I have.I used that method to twist down the cotton till the base as I so it somewhere and it helps allot in the gurgling and no more condensation in the dip tip.

Varying resistance like this is usually an indication the the coil is getting gunked up melitahams ... may be time for a dry burn or a new coil? Its a new coil @freefromsmoking when it makes like that and I still cannot get the reason why Guess I find the reason why I'm having this issue as I found some info on another forum which says like this: Be cautious of completely removing the positive coil screw and the 510 center screw at the same time. The positive disk inside the base is fairly loose and likes to move around if both are removed and could be a problem to get all lined up. My experience wasn't to bad, I was able to get the 510 center screw started and just turned it until I could see the threaded hole for positive coil screw was lined up. So it could be that or its not in place or its not tight enough I will try it later when I have to recoil it as for now its working well
