I am a moderator and I've just had the shock of my life. Been at work all day and haven't checked the site yet this evening. Went on and wham - very clever way of doing it but it didn't do my heart much good!

I tend to agree with sej016 lots of us have done our bit but have just done it quietly. I have and I do appreciate all the posters that keep us updated with the latest shenanegans without their updates I probably wouldn't have done anything. Some people just will not though

The big problem is the vast majority of people using e cigs will never use these forums therefor they are probably totally oblivious to what is happening. It doesn't matter how many petitions are put out you will never get enough numbers to sign them

Pinning posts, banners at the top of the page and the occasional e mail from various forums including UKV regarding petitions. These things I have no problem with as they save me having to find out where to sign petitions, provide a framework and suggestions on how best to contact your MP etc. I think this publicity stunt shutting down the forum to try and convince the apathetic to sign is going to have opposite the intended effect. Give someone the information and it is then their choice to make an informed decision, stick it down their throat and chances are they will ignore it completely.
