Website is down and i need to transfer money as i have a big Christmas shop for delivery tomorrow and there is no money in that certain account for when Asda tries too take the money for the shopping.

Cannot get through on the phone either

Sorry to hear that Super-Shiny... hope it gets sorted in time for you.

I'm sure their managers, and their bosses at RBS will still get their Xmas bonuses though. All too busy gambling with peoples' money instead of doing the basics, such as updating their infrastructure... i.e. IT systems.

I'm probably a neanderthal here Jason... but there is no way I'd access my bank on a phone app. I'm wary of doing it online, but a phone, no way. Too many horror stories and hackers.

It's a necessity unfortunately Raffles with the business and the times of day/night that transactions have to happen - but, I know what you mean.

Besides, I need a access to Blakey's account when I'm on the move as well

Not only was I held up by an oldie at the Waitrose till this morning........but she was an oldie with a Nat West card & got knocked back by the machine.........................along with every other Nat West card holder in there so I discovered................seems there may be a problem with them.

It's all down to a computer blowup at RBS (which WE bailed out, and still own most of it) in the last few days chrisjw. They've given out so many bonuses to their investment bankers for losing money that they now have to run their systems on Ataris and Sinclair Spectrums.

The money men in charge see IT as a massive bill that they need to shrink, rather than essential expenditure, so it's almost always the first thing to get cut. Then they cry when stuff breaks and us techies can't work miracles with 10+ year old hardware... It's the same everywhere I'm afraid
