Hello,
for he past 2 days I been getting bit of a burning taste when vaping. I always make sure there is liquid in the clearomizer but I am not sure what is causing this... Do you guys think its something to do with the coils and wick?

Not much to go on but my best guess is either you have the voltage/wattage set too high or your coil needs replacing.

Hello, for he past 2 days I been getting bit of a burning taste when vaping. I always make sure there is liquid in the clearomizer but I am not sure what is causing this... Do you guys think its something to do with the coils and wick? Could you give us a bit more information about your set-up please? If you let us know what battery and atomiser you are using, what ohm rating the atty is, the strength and mix of juice, that will enable us to give you a more accurate answer. Hope this helps (well, probably not at the moment, but it should do once we know the info.!!) AndyB

I think you need to change your coil you can then soak the old one in bicarb denture cleaner or vodka overnight then leave to dry tomorrow it should be usable again so don't throw away. Hope this helps

Yep, have to agree with babs above, sounds like your atomiser head is gunked up. Give it a good soak, the n take off the top pin and give it a dry burn on your battery to remove all the carbonised crud on the coil. Stand clear of the smoke alarm, it does smoke a bit! Once the coil is glowing cleanly, you are ready to go again. Allow the juice in your tank to soak into the wick thoroughly before vaping, and you should find that the head will give another week or so before it gets gunked up again. There will come a time when this process doesn't completely clean the head - this signals the moment when you replace the head, placing the old one somewhere safe until such time as you a) start the fun which is called recoiling your own heads or b) sending it off to someone for a small consideration to let them recoil it for you! Don't bin it!!

thank you! this bicarb denture cleaner I guess I could find it it in the local tesco store? and chykensa what do you mean take off the top pin? Is there a video tutorial on how to do it? When it comes to recoilling the heads I guess I will have to get spare wick to do it? I really dont mind having to do that. I like taking care of my equipment and hate throwing away stuff.

There are lots of videos on youtube that show how to do it. Search for cleaning evod heads or something similar, you will find it. Recoiling heads... just my opinion but seriously, don't bother. You can get 5 spare heads from myepack for 6 quid. If you're going to clean and dry burn them to make them last so you can use them again you're looking at 6 quid for heads that should last you at least a couple of months. Recoiling and rewicking to make that stretch out a bit more I just wouldn't bother. If you get into rebuildable atomisters that's a whole different ball game but for what you're using just learn how to clean and dry burn them and they'll last you a long time. Just my opinion, I say that again because it's not a popular one lol.

I like taking care of my equipment and hate throwing away stuff. I think we're all a bit like that milomonkey . . . but don't forget alot of our stuff was designed to be ' disposable ' - it's easy to get too caught up in eking out the last dregs from something, when you'd have a much more pleasurable/satisfying vape from simply just changing an inexpensive coil head. It's a bit like ( for me ) going through an ash tray, selecting the butts that still have some unsmoked tobacco and then making a ciggy out of the dregs. Which I have done in past, desperate times . . . but it was a pretty disgusting smoke.

Blinking awful smoke wasn't it Freefrom . . . I had an ' epiphany ' moment a while back, when I walked past a completely unsmoked cigarette that someone had dropped. And, I didn't feel the urge in the slightest to retrieve it for future use.

That's the beauty of mixing Perpetua .... I have enough supplies, mixed and unmixed, to avoid those "Oh **** that was my last ciggy and the shops are all closed!" times

Milomonkey sorry for late reply but bicarb from home baking isle or tesco value denture tablets are what you need to soak apart from vodka or gin which is a bit of a waste but can be used and you only need a tiny bit about a cap full to cover them.

I've been there several times, and yes it was yukkk .. but at the time, heavenly .. as my body sucked in some much needed nic. I suppose the vaping equivalent would be trying to squeeze out old wicks into a tank, trying to get that last drop of juice
