Hi guys, I'm Archy, I gave up smoking cigs and took up vaping about 4 months ago. I currently use a Jac Vapour V3 ecig, I mix my own juice, but I have 2 questions that I would love opinions on. Firstly, I find sometimes the ecigs can taste a little dry on the throat so I am thinking of trying a cigar type instead. Can you recommend a good cigar sized unit that is ideally under the £40 mark (or less if possible), that performs well and is ready to go out the box? Second, does anyone find that they can feel dehydrated after vaping a while? I'm not sure if this is something that you get more from using the smaller ecigs with cartomizers, giving you that 'dry hit' feeling or if vaping in general can give you dry mouth, dehydrated feeling? Maybe I wouldn't get this as much from a better vaping device? Thanks for any suggestions.

Hello archy nice to meet you! Vaping can dehydrate you so up your water intake you could also try buying some e-juice that has a higher % of VG which is less drying than PG you'll not go far wrong with this kit, we've recommended it to lots of people and they've all loved it myepack.co.uk/evod-starter-kit.html

Hi archy and welcome to AAEC! Karma is corect, you will find that vaping dehydrates you, and the simple cure is drinking more (water, obviously!!) during the day to counteract this. Myepack is a great company to use, and their vaping equipment is all genuine Kanger, whereas other vendors use clones, some of which can be excellent, it has to be said. There is no discount code available for this vendor as his prices are the most competitive, but if you are thinking of using other vendors for your gear or juice supplies, check this list

Agree with above posts, not a lot I can add except when I moved on from the smaller ecigs to larger ones it was very much more sastisfying. Also the dehydrated mouth reduces in time as you climatise to vaping. Agree with using more VG, it made a big difference for me.

Welcome archy. I had a JacVapour V3 "kit" with the 2 batteries and the PCC etc. Looking back, I realise whilst comfortably better than most of the utter crud on the market (E-Lites, Nicolites, Vapourlites etc.) they never got me of the smokes. I was chucking max strength juice in those cartomisers and still needed to puff non-stop all day to curb my cravings. I was only smoking 10-15 per day. (Shows how poor these systems are in terms of Nicotine yield...) Thanks to Chrissie, and a week later AAEC generally, I got into Riva batteries from Vape Escape. A Riva kit or evod kit or decent eGo kit is the way forward.... and about the dryness....it gets better....once you are used to it. - - - I'm not going to totally "diss" JacVapour, but only this morning I met a roll-up smoker out on the hills walking the dog(s). I showed him my kit and he said "I had an e-cig, it was from JacVapour" That was 18 months ago. "I used it for 2 weeks and got too many cravings, so caved in and went back to the smokes" This bloke has smoked 10,000 roll-ups since trying and failing with this sort of e-cig. I told him to register on AAEC

Thanks djs, yes at first i struggled to replace cigs with the Jacvapour even though I thought it was better than other types of ecig (and i probably will keep using it at work) but i had a feeling that there were much better performing units out there, and in all the test videos you see, there is always a lot more smoke out of the bigger devices! I'v ordered the evod kit so i'm looking forward to trying that out!
