Be brave Sal, give it a go. The 'someone more competent' can fix it if you screw it up. Are you sure?!! Can I buy new o rings? I know I can massacre an old clearomiser or something and find one, but how will I know if it's a suitable one?! I use grommets from old nova heads, evod/protank grommets would also work. And your local hardware store will have o-rings, but I'd go for the grommet if you have one. If you can get it over the top of the pin and it then sits tight on the stem it is suitable.

Thank you giles I will definitely give it a try, especially now that thanks to Griff and his incredibly kind and generous offer, I won't be mod-less over Christmas if it all goes horribly wrong! Thank you all again for going out of your way to help me

giles I haven't tried yet! My brother, who is electronically minded, but knows nothing about ecigs has said he will have a look at it over Christmas, I think it's probably a safer bet than me trying!! His eyesight is way better and he isn't at all ham fisted like me...... lol. I do, however, have a lovely lavatube to tide me over thanks to the lovely Griff
