Sorry to bring this thread back up but I'm still having problems! I bought the airflow connector as suggested but I still can't get the protanks to work, although the mini protank does. I've been trawling youtube for videos on replacing the o ring, there are a few but some make it look really easy and some seem very tricky and difficult. Some say cut the new o ring, some say don't! I am terrified that if I start messing about with mine I will break it! I'm in a right flap now and I just need someone to tell me just how hard it is to replace the ring AND how easy it is to completely destroy the vamo in the process! I can't really afford to replace it right now, I do have some ego batteries (in varying stages of decay ) so I can manage but i would miss my vamo a lot!

It's quite fiddily but gets easier with practice, If you are anywhere near Chelmsford bring it into the shop And I will take a look, I can probably fix it on the spot.

markm that is so kind of you and I wish I could but I am in Herefordshire! I may have to have a go, if it is just fiddly I may be able to do it, I can be fairly patient, I just have little or no technical skill where that kind of thing is concerned! Once again, thank you so much for your offer though

Sal, if some of the atties which wouldn't work before are now working, then the problem with the Vamo is solved (for now), and you should look at the connectors of the atties which still aren't working.
I've just taken a Protank 3 off the eGo battery where it usually lives, and found the centre pin in the 510 connector has pushed up a way into the atty. Remedy: pull the centre pin back down a couple of mm - just enough to bring the centre pin level with the threading, or very slightly protruding. If you have a good pair of tweezers or needle nose pliers, they will do it. The end of a straightened, heavy-duty paperclip will also serve the purpose

Sal I use Greigster's method from this post. It's worked well on mine a couple of times, but when I tried it on pebbles's the pin came out without the wire - the soldered connection had gone. And then I had to take the top off, which is a PITA, and resolder it. So if you are trying it, take it very slowly - some of those connections are obviously weak. Otherwise it is very fiddly but not difficult, and requires no special skill.

I just wanted to say how very grateful I am to giles, who has kindly repaired my vamo. Despite having a busy weekend he went above and beyond to return it as soon as possible so I would not be without. Thank you does not seem enough for a complete stranger to go out of their way to help others

remnant thank you but the original protanks were the original problem and still don't work properly with the airflow adaptor. I will try pulling the centre pin down slightly and see if that helps giles I think that is enough to stop me even trying! Maybe I should get a replacement and put the old one away until such time as I can find someone much more competent than me to have a look! Thank you both again for taking the time to reply

I had exact same problem last week with 1 evod, found that loosening it (until it wobbled slightly) cured the problem, just used it in that state to empty the evod, then threw head in recoiling box, seems to have been a one off, know this is probably not a lot of help MP

Be brave Sal, give it a go. The 'someone more competent' can fix it if you screw it up.

i had a couple of coil heads at 1.1 ohms and found that my vamo didnt like them, they worked on ordinary batteries but not the vamo, try a coil you know to be 1.6 or above and see if that works, or hold the button down on the vamo to test the resistance

I don't think it's that but thanks for your suggestion

Sal sorry the 510 Airflow connector didn`t solve all your issues. Do you specifically want a VW device or would a VV be ok? I have a spare Lavatube Mini, which is only VV and can only take an 18350 battery. If it would tide you over until you sort your Vamo out I am quite happy to post it off to you as an early free Christmas present. Just let me know. Griff
