MVP itaste 2 vaped itself?!

I was out and about this evening but left my itaste at home, got a text from the wife saying it was hissing, kept doing it in 20 second bursts or so and now I'm home and had a look it's empty?! There wasn't much in it but it's vaped itself lol.

Does anyone have a clue what the story is?

You tooted to 999 puffs, it does this. Sorry I'm spoiling everyone's fun. Once it gets past 999 puffs it goes through some sort of cleaning cycle, just reset the puff counter by clicking the button 3 times and turning the device on again by clicking 3 times.

Well I left it standing upright and it turns out the fluid has all leaked right through it! Bollox I say!


Hopefully I can just disassemble it, remove the battery and then clean and dry it. In the meantime I'm having a flipping fag lol

Can't see it doing that. What tank have you got on it? Must have leaked?

Yeh it's the protank 2, kangertech one and it's definitely leaked right through the mvp, just trying to figure out how it comes apart now, got the screws out but something is still holding it together. Also got a nice helping of vape fluid peeing out.

Been hinting at Mrs to get me for birthday/xmas and read mostly positives, but if can get wrecked so easily I would be nervous of getting one!

Yeh totally, loads of it, it's been all running down inside and soaked the circuit boards. Anyway I've got it all apart now, unsoldered the battery and then sprayed it all down with electrical contact cleaner. Now I'm going to leave it to evaporate for a couple of hours and then stick it back together.

Just to be clear though, the problem is with the kangertech protank 2, the MVP itself is a fine thing, just the tank is useless and leaks. The irony is that I just posted in someone elses thread recently saying mine was all good lol. That came back and bit me bum cheeks!

These leaks I've read about with protanks have put me off a bit, got some protank minis and they work just fine (as others have said also) which is weird as same coil.

Sounds like you know what your doing so best of luck!
Not sure what I'd do in similar situation, probably start dismantling then wish I'd not done so and stick in cupboard to be fixed at non existent later date!!

It's knackered, I got it apart and cleaned it no bother but the power button isn't acting properly, I think there's a fried chip inside. Crap! Not even hardly used it yet as I was waiting on getting some new vape for it first.

I have a total of 8 (yes 8) genuine Protanks in my arsenal (4 v1's, 2 v2's, 1 Pro 2, 1 Pro 3) as well as a couple of mini Protanks (v1's) and none of them have dumped a whole tank yet. They hardly lose a drop, even if left for around a week.

I would be changing the head in the Protank as it must be missing some wick to dump as much juice as you say it has done.

It's a brand new protank 2 just out the packet with brand new seals and all but it's irrelevant now seeing as the mvp is done, I'll need to wait and see as and when I can get another unit.

Googling it it sounds like protank leakage is pretty common, some people seem to be finding it leaks with some juices but not others.

Sometimes the heads come with 2-3 flavour wicks, sometimes none. It's always worth checking them before you fill it up. I could be wrong and maybe you have just been unlucky with your one.
