1st, is anyone else getting a missfire with the VTR? The button lights up but it sends no power to the atty. Sometimes pressing the top button gives a non reading sometimes the ohms is well out. To fix it, I have to spin the atty base wheel. 2nd. I have got the protank 3 and the iclear 30s. Both are great when new for about a week or less then the are baba. Either burnt taste or no vapour... doing my head in. I love the flavour when they work but I have never had so many problems with single coils. 3rd. My one and only battery is getting old and rubbish and I need some more. I just thought I would add that to moan about. No more 15 watt vaping for me

I don't know that I'd be looking for much more than a week out of any coil. You might get a few more days by rinsing then dry burning them.

Sounds like the battery is the problem , they do strange things to electronic mods as they get older. Would try a good battery before I blamed the VTR

Innokin recommend only IMR batteries should be used in the VTR so could it be if your using a panasonci NCR18650B it might be the high 3400 mAh that could be causing the problems you mention. However, I may be wrong. I believe the IMR battery mAh range is recommended to be between 1800 to 2600, which I hope is correct. Griff

1st. Bring it down to mine if you have some free time, we can try it with one of my batteries to rule out whether or not the batteries you are using are the issue, saves you having to fork out for new batteries if they aren't the problem.
2nd. A week on a coil sounds about right, I change my carto's in my trap tank once or twice a week, the same with recoiling my protank 2 heads they need to be changed once or twice a week.
3rd. Torchy!! Unbeatable prices and great customer service =)
Hope that helps

They are seriously reliable imho. With the iClear 30, I'm getting fill, vape, refill, vape, soak(vodka or steradent), then start the cycle again. I'm honestly finding that 2 weeks is the absolute minimum with no loss of performance using T-Juice. Having said all that, they're thirsty little b*ggers!!

I reckon there is some sage advice here @chillervapes, your Juice could be heavy and is "Gunking" your coil, a week seems OK to me and if I Clean and Dry Burn a coil a few times then it's not long til I know I need to start again with a Spanking New one. Nice offer from jordan, and he speaks sense about Torchy, fantastic service and great advice from Jim(Torchy) who is a Battery specialist, not just in the World of Vaping either

Oddly enough there seems to be a spate of threads from other members all commenting on how well the iClear heads last. I pretty much only use T-Juice and I hardly ever dry burn. I usually do 2 or 3 days of refilling then rinse (or soak and rinse) then let them dry near a radiator. Minimum life for me is two weeks and i do mean minimum. Two months and i tend to replace despite the lack of drop in performance. Because they are actually one of the cheaper heads to buy. Certainly much cheaper than things like vivi nova heads. For me it's just a no-brainer!

Wow daveyboy37 you treat your heads well, thats why you get so long out of them. I'm going to give that regime a try, I'm using iClear 30sthat came with my VTR, I've got some new heads from myepack (great service I need to thank them on Vendors thread) so I can rinse and dry easily, I just never remember when my tank needs refilling, only after I've just filled it.

Well sometimes I can be lazy and it can be 4 or 5 days of refilling before I clean. Also I should add that I tend to have several iClears on the go some days. So it may sometimes be a day or two between going back to the same iClear. (unless of course its Red Astaire or Afro.. in which case they both get vaped at some point every day.) I just think its something about the iClears...All my previous clearos needed the head changing every week, minimum, with a rinse in between.
