Hi all I have an IGO-L dripper, and must admit I haven't used it much lately, as I haven't been mixing so therefore don't need to test juices. I went to have a go on it yesterday evening, and the top cap has firmly stuck on. I tried warming it in my hand and pocket for a few minutes, and even ran it under a hot tap. No joy. The top cap has always been very tight, and once I eventually get this off, I would like to know what I can do to prevent this happening again. I remember watching the PBusardo review of this dripper, and his one gripe was that the top cap came off too easily = perhaps he would like to do a swop!!? Your advice as ever is welcomed

Boil it in a pan of water for twenty minutes. Use oven glove or thick cloth pick it up while still hot and screw it onto a mod then try to pop the cap off.
If that doesn't work then some work with pliers and molegrips might be needed which will scratch the hell out of it.

If I get anything stuck like this I use a viva nova base (atty screws on where coil should ) for extra grip & rubber glove makes a huge difference to grip Just wiggle it & it will come off Like this

The top cap on my Igo was extremely difficult to shift when it first arrived. Once you've got it apart (I'd follow the advice from vereybowring above), try removing one of the o-rings. Just one holds the cap in place perfectly happily, and you shouldn't have the same problem again.

I would agree with fiddles about screwing it into a cheap atty base rather than a mod ... last thing you want to do is add to your troubles with damaged mod threads. Rubber gloves or rubber bands are my weapon of choice in such situations. As Super-Shiny says, lube the O rings with a little juice or VG once you do get it apart ... good luck

I have tried 'oiling' the rings with juice in the past, and remnant, I will try the suggestion for removing one of the O-rings once I have got the bloomin' thing apart. Thanks all, will report back!

Update - managed to get the topcap off last night, removed one of the O-rings and 'oiled' the other one with a smear of juice, slipping on and off as easily as a pair of tart's knickers now! Thanks for the advice, everyone. Just got to put a microcoil in it now!!
