Mech mod query

Thought I'd better try setting up my nemesis before Xmas just so I know how it works  :DSo after a bit of faffing I got it set up in 18500 mode with a kick set to 10 watts. Gave it a toot and the vape is nowhere near as strong as from my mvp2 on 10 watts.
So I removed the kick and tried again and much the same weaker vape !

I thought maybe the battery wasn't fully charged as they went from red to green on the charger pretty quick, tried again and green within a few minutes so can't be that.

Now I've only used my protank which has quite a high resistance at 2.5 ohms so applying a little Maths I figured with a 3.7 volt batt and 2.5 ohm coil the power I would achieve without the kick would only be 5.476 watts and therefore if I want to achieve 10 watts I would need a much lower resistance coil I.e 1.37 ohms.

Clearly I can get 10 watts on my mvp2 but I guess the electronics are working there magic to drain the battery quicker.

I think I must be doing something here, could I have the wrong type of batteries perhaps or do I just need a lower resistance coil. My batts are AW IMR 18490 3.7volt 1100mah 4.1 WH

The vape should be identical or near enough from 2 electronic mods at 10w. Perhaps the kick isn't working. Do you have another you can try ?

Check to make sure the wattage is set right on the Kick...bugger to read sometimes, also clean all contacts.

Looks a bit like colouring in by numbers. Fill all the 10.0 with green. Fill all the 9.9 with green. Fill all the 9.8 in...guess what....?

Super-Shiny that chart looks pretty close and if you reference my OP you'll see it matches my calculation pretty much for without the kick so I definitely need the kick to work its magic

Balllsy your a star, one of the spanking new kicks is goosed by the looks of it. Just need to try and get a replacement now if I can get cloud 9 to answer the phone   Best drop them an email tonight I think

Greg the mech mod should work fine, i tend to find that when i use a evolv kick 2 in a mech mod it works fantastic, really cannot see why it should be worse than a MPV2, maybe clean all connections.

Super-Shiny I bought two original kicks, in hindsight I'd have been better getting the e2 as I normally vape at 10 watts which is the limit, will be fine for my wife though as she's still on her evods and egos.

I shall order an e2 and worry about the dodgy return later. Must have them both working on the big day

I had a right faff on getting the mods set up in 18500 mode, could only get it to work without the middle lovely shiny brass ring until I figured out you cold also adjust the length of the button contact. Springs everywhere and lost the little brass pin twice on the carpet but got there in the end
