I always find it amusing the attitudes of people (on here) with respect to vaping in public places.
My view is, I'll ask if I can be hooped, otherwise I'll probably just go outside. I don't want to inflict anything on anyone, regardless of the toxicity of the "substance" in question. On that note, I have absolutely NO qualms with taking my ecig outside. Of course, I may just go to the toilet rather than outside if its bucketing down, or I'm in an Airport or something, but the attitude of some people on here with the "I'll vape where the f**k I like, and if you don't like it, your a jobsworth dick" offends me far more than someone asking me to do it outside.

I will vape where I like - doesn't mean anyone around me needs to know I'm doing it. In my car or my house, my rules - if someone doesn't like vaping they can walk/stand outside. I spent 27 years being ostracised and treated like a sub-human leper for no reason when I smoked, dammed if I'm going to let them do the same to when when I'm NOT smoking.

I spent 27 years being ostracised and treated like a sub-human leper for no reason when I smoked, dammed if I'm going to let them do the same to when when I'm NOT smoking. Of course, in your car or house are your rules, I wasn't suggesting anything different. I was referring to public places, and more-so public places where it has already been deemed not allowed. My feelings on the matter are that unless you own the place, then you have to abide by the rules put in place by the owner. Regardless of if you agree or not. I certainly never felt like I was treated as a sub-human leper when I did smoke though. But then again I could appreciate the health hazards I was inflicting on others at the time, and so it felt a reasonable request to be asked to take my toxic fumes away from non-smokers. Of course, when I was in places that DID allow smoking in public places (Most of Eastern Europe I have been to, and Asia etc...), I puffed away with no concern.

I do agree with you on that score as such ,BUT what gets me is its against the Law to smoke in Public places BUT its not against the law actually to VAPE,because basic there is not one,so even if MR Jobsworth at train station tells you know you could say nope back ,because your not breaking any law of the Land, many will just say ok mate no problem wont vape, but do imagine this what exactly could they do? on spot fine? would'nt stand in Court....but it does all come down to the fact we will agree to disagree till a law says other wise,so 99.9% will agree not to Vape if asked to do so or 99.9% will ask if its ok , no one is going to force vape, but wondering if its a case they see a cig look alike they pounce ,wonder what would happen if you stood there with a VTR and get asked you say no mate its my atomiser of my asthma there gonna be pretty stumped because if you actually thing about it..even though we know them as a ecig ,mods dont look like it one bit

While vaping anywhere is perfectly legal, the owners of the property are within their rights to set whatever rules they like for a persons behaviour while there. If the case is that they do not allow vaping, then so be it. Trouble is at train stations, start kicking up a stink and you could likely get involved with the law quite quickly.
Stealth vape or go use the toilet. Or just wait a while until you are outside. It's not that big of a deal is it?
I must say though that being told it's fine, then told it's not seems a bit off. Especially if it's a jumped up 12 year old barking it out!

Especially if it's a jumped up 12 year old barking it out! Tis true that "their house their rules" and I agree that the law would probably get involved quite quickly so it's not worth the fight. It's just a shame when we all know the bans are a totally farcical joke based on religious zealoutry and bullshit It's really hard to say that without sounding like a militant nutter and I expect that's how we come across when someone gives us grief for vaping based on smoking science (that apparently was dodgy anyway.) After the past year I have little doubt about Tobacco control's agenda and that they'll quite happily lie when it comes to science, if they'll lie about the lack of danger on vaping why wouldn't they lie about the lack of danger of second hand smoke. I don't believe a word they've ever said now. Anyway. TL;DR version Perfectly legal to vape anywhere but prepare to get a bollocking if you openly do it where smoking has been banned But that's OK, there is always stealth or like said waiting till you are out of the fascists reach
