Well.... I went into my Lidl this afternoon. Had to pay 50p to park as the street parking was all full up. The shop had about a dozen in stock. I picked one up and then thought... I can live my life without this! So I put it back and came home empty handed Premonition?

I got a friend to buy this for me from his local one rather than me making an effort to get there for the rush. Obviously there was no rush, as he said there was plenty left. Should have guessed.

I got one from from one of those shops about 9 months ago, it gave up a few weeks back. I suppose it all works out as I saved a lot of money on toilet paper.

It should buzz until the cycle has finished. My UC is a James 6000 I got from ebay about 3 months ago had no problems with it. If I use cold water to start its tepid at the end but you should start with warm water for best results and add a couple of drops of washing up liquid.

Umm Just re-read the instructions on the Silvercrest one "use cold clean tap water" Looks like it's going back then

Took the Silvercrest cleaner back today and went to Maplins and purchased the JPL Ultra 7000.
Like chalk and cheese!
The new one cleans so much better.
Tenner more but well pleased with the results so far.

I've had my Lidl silver crest ultrasonic cleaner for a good year now and has been trouble free- it's always done exactly what it was supposed to do

I'm on a Super-Shiny steeping mission and the water is getting VERY hot. Earlier I cleaned some tanks and drips tips that held Afro Dizziac, Lime and Menthols. All are pristine and odour free.

Mine has been fine the couple of times I've used it. Very pleased at how good an old necklace of mine came up. But, I've taken heed of the advice and I know where my receipt is. It says it has a 3 year warranty so will keep the receipt until then, if it isn't needed before

I just got the JLP 7000 and it's all good so far ! Cleaned heads and clearos and no lingering smell and on the plus side my links of London bracelet that I ruined with bleach on a cleaning mission has came up a treat ! Was almost orange with tarnish and now it's resorted the silver nicely ! Just need to try some steeping now and it's all singing and dancing !
